chat command:
/Compass ShowClock [24HourDateTime/12HourDateTime/24HourTime/12HourTime/Off]
EG: /Compass ShowClock 24HourDateTime
The color of the compass is almost perfect sky blue...
Do Not Copy/Paste!! Typing it worked!
I'd say type it not copy/paste to be sure. Worked for me at least.
/Compass ShowClock [24HourTime]
Any tips?
example
/Compass ShowClock 24HourDateTime
Basically you use math to generate the Polar representation of the looking vector: radius, Inclination and azimuth.
For the HUD the inclination and azimuth angle would be nice to be displayed. One may be on the right or left side.
As you did the math with planets, i think you are more than capable :)
So yeah the compass is great, I use it all the time.
Please, make a space compass :)
If theres any way to break it from the character and make it work from the camera, or perhaps from a turret camera at least, that would be amazing
You mentioned that your original purpose with this mod was to help groups of players co-ordinate in multiplayer quickly, but as someone who only really plays alone, I still find this mod very useful, for two main reasons.
a} I like basing at the poles, both because of the ice caps for producing hydrogen, and because of the length of the solar day, for solar power. When on the surface of planets, finding the polar directions on my own can be difficult. This mod allows me to do that almost instantly.
b} I like establishing logistical resupply corridors, oriented along the cardinal directions, particularly during the early game. This mod again makes that very easy.
Thank you for this great contribution.
Petrus
Don't know why it didn't work when I tried to use the chat commands, but that's what it is.
More seriously, thank you for your mods. I do echo @Raj's request below though. White atmosphere anything obliterates the compass. Is it possible to comparitively XOR with whatever's behind the compass, for example? (Like I wish they did with the screen center reticle. And gps txt.
