I have really been enjoying this class so far, but just ran into my first issue with him: I got nighttime ambushed even though I had used his 'first watch' camping ability that says he should prevent it. (No shieldbreaker on the mission) Has anyone else encountered this and is it fixable?

I got courageous virtue and there were 2 images of the housecarl spiraling in a circle. Was facing shambler idk if spinning background caused this

Currently Scorpio and I are doing mods for a game called Fell Seal. I doubt we'll be adding anything more to DD.

Miss your mods man, I still use them from offline files the workshop downloaded. If DD ever gets an update that breaks them I don't think I could enjoy playing the game anymore.

my one problem is that the game was uninstalled at the time of the paladin mod replacement, and was also uninstalled before these mods were removed

I really liked all these mods quite a bit and can only suspect that the hatred came from the more reactionary parts of the playerbase of this game. I will miss all of these and have to check which I have subscribed, but I know I lost an earlier version of the paladin that had more armor. Is there any way to recover these files or would the modders be willing to send them? I have no intent of actually posting them, that would unsconsciable to me

It's extremely unfortunate, when the ignorance of some is so outstanding that the Author feels compelled to remove his mods from the community.. content that many dedicated hours were put forth, due to his passion for the game and the vast community that he shared them with.

I'm confident i'm not just speaking for myself, when i say that Baron's mods were a unique and creative enhancement to the DD world, and the absence of them has truly diminished a majority of the enthusiasm i once held for the game.. I hope this hasn't dissuaded you, Baron, from any future projects in general and wish you the best..

I'm late to the party and was just one day shy of getting these mods as I jumped back into DD just right after this event of removal took place. I posted in the steam forum where this content was shared and asked where they had all gone. Only after stumbling on this particular mod did I finally find some closure as to what apparently happened to the mods. Will you be eventually passing on your content on to other trusted modders? Or are you just going to resign to throwing the baby out with the bathwater in this case to spite the naysayers?

You have every right to do whatever you want to do with your mods/content either way of course. I am just holding out hope that you may be one of the more upright modders who ends up doing right by the community in this situation (and I use the term 'right' very loosely... we all have our own ambitions obviously and I don't know to what extent the harassment existed).

if anyone has the classes already downloaded from steam.. they would be in steamapps>workshop>content>262060 then just search thru the folders they are all numbered.. with 9 or 10 digits.. and coordinate to the last numbers on the url for the pag IE for the dryad copy the whole folder 1418253650 from your 262060 directory assuming you downloaded it before they were removed.. and copy it to mods folder.. which is located in the main directory of the game files steam>steamapps>common>darkestdungeon>Mods and paaste the entire numbered folder to there and when you start a game or make a new game they will show up on the mods selection list https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/app/262060/discussions/4/1727575977591444431/ that link contains all the urls in the main text and the cascade thread below.. the last 9 or 10 digit number in each url will help you quickly find the folders in your own downloaded steam folders if you already had them

@baron that sucks im sorry you recieved crap for folks dont let the idiots detract from the large number of folks who enjoy and appreciate the work and the mods. if youd be wqilling to make them aval personally or in some more private and controlled forum? not having the dryad and the apth and the nerco really sucks..

I think once you downloaded it stays in the Steamworkshop file. I didnt try it myself yet, but I think when you add them manualy you should use them.

Baron knows that I really like maiden, weald_witch and vampiress. There is no way i play DD without these 3. Heck, if im not smart enough to somehow bring them into the game I will find some one and pay them to do so.
But I wont upload it since it seems Baron has enough with this community...sadly.

@Baron don't take these people seriously. They did nothing by themselves and blaming others for making free mods... oh it's just stupid.
Your mods were great and I enjoyed them much. I may like or not like some things or art style but the amount of work you put into them are really impressive. You deserve a big thanks from the whole dd community. And wish you luck with your next project.

Ah, well that sucks, I was just about to go through another batch of testing to see which mods worked with my build or not, but if you felt that was what you needed to do, that is what you needed to do. Hope you do well on that project.

I took a lot of them down due to the toxic personal insults and demands many in the community made. I kept these few up because enough people messages me asking to keep them. Since then my passion for modding this game has passed and instead I am now working on my own project.

Um, what happened to the rest of your mods, did you remove them or did they get removed by someone else?

I believe Baron has trouble getting screenshots from DD - if I recall correctly. Next time i'm playing and get the Housecarl in party I will take a few shots for him to post.
