@SalzStange there are 1.6 patches and "tacticowl" which includes this and 2 other mods, is soon to be updated (Not to sound rude, but look up 1.6 next to this?)

@[Redacted] This mod is outdated, that's probably why all the orders (Gizmos) disappeared. I've posted an updated version in a previous comment, or you can use Tacticowl (haven't tried it)

had this mod installed and started a new game. when i drafted a colonist it got rid of all orders that i could assign to them like shoot at this or even un-draft as all orders literally disappeared from the action bar. after testing all mods i recently installed this one proved to be the the problem. I am posting this as a record of the issue that i have had, but am not sure if it is a compatibility issue with another mod that i had.

@Alstorp That mod is broke as all hell. Makes it so if you have SaD or duel wield on then you can't equip weapons. Hopefully someone else who can actually mod either updates it or makes their own version.

of all the 414 mods I have working on 1.5, the one I still miss the most is Search and Destroy ;'(

Like previous commenter said, you can just get 'run and gun' and enable 'search and destroy' from there, and it works in 1.5, and you can disable the functionality of 'run and gun' if you just want 'search and destroy'

If i can choose only one Mod to play Rimworld, it would absolutely "Search and Destroy", this mod is just a huge QOL Improvement and funny as hell, without - Melee combat is a pain :(

Guys I leave you a piece of information, in the "run and gun" mod if you go to the mod configuration section, there is the option to activate the "search and destroy" once activated, restart and it will be activated, I discovered it last night

Something that can be done for melee combat is to change the attitude of the settlers so that when they are not recruited they attack any enemy that is in their range. The strategy would be to send and recruited colonists directly to their targets and when they are close, remove the recruitment order from them.

Mine doesn't work at all. Even if I turn off Run and Gun and leave Search and Destroy on. They don't Search and Destroy. How are yall getting your Tacticowl to work?

@Pyl it does work but doesnt work when Run and Gun is turn on thats what I see so for a melee only colony like mine right now just disable run and gun

I thought only run and gun works in Nillas' 1.5, does search and destroy really work in Nillas' 1.5?

Nillas' 1.5 version works, but not this one (yet).

If you enable search and destroy in the below mod it enables search and destroy. Then you can just disable run and gun.

For f*s sakes, just be patient already. jeeze, the only time people are commenting are either to beg, ask or demand an update or it's to ask stupid or silly questions. Or both. man melee sucks hard generally i didnt know this for ages until 1.5

I did not realize how much I've depended on this mod until I got attacked, drafted my pawns, ordered a counter, and then after the first target fell all of my melee units just stopped in their tracks and stood waiting to get shot.

A must-have mod, please update it.

This requires an update for 1.5. Right now its removing all pawn control options when you draft them so you can't undraft or issue the commands that this mod entails.
Looking forward to the update.

activating this with some high skilled shooters sometimes makes the game have some harsh ocassional tps drops
on melee doesn't happen tho
