The lagging is very difficult to deal with due to the implementation of the block. but I will take a look at why the machine catch on fire soon or later :)

The effect is fantastic. But, if your machine consists of over 300 blocks your framerate decreases by a massive amount, making the game unplayable. And you for some reason can't use steam engines. If you place the block onto a machine that uses torches, or steam engines, the machine will immediately catch on fire. I hope this gets fixed cuz the idea is awesome.

Cloak is CPU-expensive, just like how it works in eve ;)
but I will spend some time on optimizing it, thanks for reporting.

300+ block craft with the cloak block brings me to a crawling performance.
My pc is definitely not on the lower end of the spectrum either. I get better performance flying an unmodded 1k block machine.

Cannonballs can be blocked, if the cannonballs are not too fast for besiege to calculate

i dont have a laser block. you mean the fiat combined mod's laser emitter?

Use laser block, enable its collider in misc, make the laser short and wide, and you should be able to use it as a shield

how well does it act as a shield? does it block people from ramming u. or does it block cannon shots?

you can remove shimmering by changing the texture image inside the mod folder, if you want
the shimmering was for the block to be not completely transparent (Yea I know it's kinda useless)
For optimization, I'll try but I cannot promise on that

Is it possible to make the mod run more smoothly? It slows my fps down a lot when I activate the cloak. Also, can you add an option to remove the shimmering? I was trying to combine it with the crosshair mod but the shimmering of the blocks kinda makes it hard to aim.

The laser block can behave like a shield now. Enable its collider in Misc. and shorten the laser length.

just got some small update, added a vfx that make a flash on blocks before starting cloaking.
btw I created some new bug for fixing old bug... please do not use this block in mp just for now, I will try fix the bug asap
