It's somehow about how your council will vote on my mercenaries/holy order government type laws. I honestly do not remember how that part work at all.
I recall being able to pass these laws just fine, years ago. Did CKII crash or something when you tried?
Position: loyalist_pattern_for
Location: common/council_voting/chivalry_pattern.txt(1)
Repeats 9 times. Any ideas? Thanks for the GREAT mod.
Ask your game, not me. Outside of the female only Amazon society, which must be enabled in the game option, the only female related trigger in the mod is about being kicked in the nuts in duels and holy order stuff which doesn't play well with female ruler.
The event about summoning a potential commander only have 30% chance to summon a woman (they aren't real members of the society, they are created on the spot). You either have a really strange luck, or some weird mod conflict.
About women "being allowed", the society allows only rulers, commanders and courtiers of mercenary bands to join the society. If you a tons of martial female rulers and commanders, its not this mod's fault.
Uh.. tried tooking at the code and I cannot find how/why you do not see the green/red +/-. It feels like they should appear as I see no conditionals.
I might have removed them from duels to the death for "suspense", but I cannot remember and I do not see why they do not appears in the code. Might also be some tooltip targeting issue since it uses the same events as for ranking up but with a different starting condition...
But I simply do not really have an answer. sorry.
Understandable argument haha
I noticed that when i get a mission to hunt someone from head of society, the score and informations about the next action are hidden ( hitting and misses chances, the green and red + and - , etc, ) when duelling, is it a bug or done on purpose ?
Thanks, glad to see people still enjoying my mods.
Is it possible to replace the vanilla system? Yea I am sure it is possible, but it won't be by me lol. My dueling code is convulted and honestly deserved a full rewrite years ago to clean it up but the spaghetti code was too intimidating! And now it's been too long and I am too rusty with CK2 stuff to start messing with it again.
Cultural bonuses and societies are very good mods too, congrats for your work
Look at the screenshots, the last one has the faith law visible.
I do not use it, but there's a recent link in this post:
https://agotcitadel.boards.net/thread/3215/orders-chivalry-agot-sub-party
Otherwise, forcing the mod to be a dependant on AGOT using the alternate file inside of the mod .rar or doing it yourself following the mod's description steps will ensure that it at least work for generic stuff.
CK2 didn't receive any real update for years and the mod is made in a way that even a new DLC release wouldn't break it. So it should still be fine.
Targeting a body type stack "penalty" on that body part, lowering the character's combat skill. The more debuff on the same body part, the more likely they have to get a real injury or even be maimed. A crit is just more damage.
The auto-duel button basically skip the system and give a result based on your trait difference and stuff if it is too convulted (the system was done before Paradox released their duel overhaul IIRC).
There's also a game rule where you can disable death from duels, it only give a health penalty if it is enabled.

Search for:
chivalry_champion_bloodline_effect
Inside of that, look for:
check_variable = { which = chivalry_champion_bloodline_var value = 10 }
10 is the number of victories in a row needed, increase that to make it harder. There are other ways but this is the simplest.
Nop, it doesn't rely on any DLC code.
That's what I meant too. You are supposed to have a decision to break the holy order/merc title and return to a generic gov type.
"Dismantle your Holy Order or Mercenary band"
Or maybe not, maybe it's only available in certain cases...
It's been years, trying to remember how all that code works. I THINK that manually destroying the title make you unable to be to stay merc/holy order so you revert automatically. The event mentionned above is for when the title in undestroyable.
There SHOULD be a decision in the decision menu I think?
Looked at the code and I seem to have made one, but I cannot recall exactly. It is event:
CHI.372
If you want to trigger it with the console instead.
I spent a while searching the game files for a society of that name... but it is an holy order.
You could probably go into the localisation file and swap the word bektashi for something else to do the trick. without something like notepad++ to do a mass search/replace it'll take a while tho.
Unfortunately, not possible.
Because the AI is not actually hiring you. Wealthy AI rulers that meet your religion or culture may send you an event to hire them. They aren't actually going to find and hire you and won't actively dismiss you, it is an automated event originating from you for inactivity. It is all automated.
This mod wasn't really designed with multiplayer in mind and I'd expect some things to break since many things are only meant to happen once in the game but many players could potentialy trigger something that just target "the player".
The entire war/merc/mission is holding together with cheap scotch tape and will collapse if looked at too hard. It was maddening to get working as it was. =.=
Found and cleaned it, the background (wood/stone wall) is included alongside other society stuff for that screen, just need to mix and change colors as needed. And make the icons themselves using the masks. My photoshop is fairly old, I hope it can open properly on whichever version you have.
Now, how to send it to you... Either give me an e-mail in steam chat or send me a PM in discord at M44l. Or via other simple means you may think about.
I should still have it around somewhere...
Do you have a psd or xcf format for your beautiful society icons, I'd like to make my own in your style.
Thanks, I spent a lot of time on this and I am glad to see people still enjoy it years later.
About the warrior societies, they have similar stuff at first, specially early powers.
Both Fighters Guild and Holy Order have bounties, FG hunt people that other people placed bounties on their heads while HO hunt heretics.
If you asked about the difference between the non-holy orders societies. For basic FG (Round Table, Ring of Honor, Sandpit, Circle of Life and Death) only difference between them is which culture can join them.
For the "non-european" ones, The Warrior Guild are like the other 4 fighters society, except no cultural limits, for maps without vanilla cultures. Same with the Amazon, except only for women. The berserkers on another hand have higher chances of wounds and death, but better rewards.
Quick question -- and I apologize if I didn't read through the comments to see the answer for this:
What are the main differences between the Warrior Societies, apart from the Amazon of course? Any special things they do? I know that the Round Table has bounties, but do others have specialties in them? Thanks in advance.
-Do you have a guide on wiki or anything like that?
Nan, most important information are on the mod page and english isn't my first language, maintaining a wiki is not something I can properly do.
-Also what is the best option for when they are standing there waiting for your to attack them?
If they are just "waiting" (not screaming, rushed or being defensive), then they are at "neutral". It is the default option with no up or down side, so can do anything with little worry.
-Also do Christian warrior lodges provide battlefield invincibility like the pagan warrior lodges from Holy Fury??
This mod doesn't add warrior lodge from holy fury to christian, that's another mod.
Winning duels (more chances in to the death duels), is one of the random reward from the training decision, completing a duel society mission, some of the warrior pilgrimage reward can also upgrade it. Do note that the higher tiers of the trait require several "success" to actually upgrade.
-Lol your mod is amazing but I have so many questions.
Thanks, I am out of touch with CKII but glad that people still like it. I'll answer what I can.
There's randomness, but your stats matters. There's some high risk option, some low risk ones, intrigue characters will do better with faints and so on.
They'll usually give up once they have too many wounds, specially serious ones, unless it is a to-the-death battle, if you keep fighitng while wounded you are at risk of being mained or dying more. So aiming at the same body part all the time is probably the best strategy.
mmh, it appears that since I had made a rule for bounties specifically, I've neglected to have them disabled if the Fighters Guilds are disabled as well.
Was tweaking my CK2 and was wondering does it even work. Now know for sure.
Its one of the best mods on workshop btw )
It is all behind-the-scene stuff, you won't see a pop up or anything spamming you about it.
I looked at event code and see values for payments, but dont see code for conditions - how does scripts know that you are besiged something ?
