When I try to run a ROM, it immediately says that the client isnt open, even though the client is running and displaying the game

Best source of ROMs, for anyone wondering, is ROMsie. Classic Z64 files and no weird exe files like **COUGH COUGH** ROMSMANIA **COUGH COUGH**

Hey guys from Joel’s stream! Super glad to see it featured on there. It’s true that this takes a bit to set up and get working. Right now I’m a bit busy with school and stuff, but I’d absolutely love to work on this some more now that it’s been 3 years since release and I’ve probably learned a bit since then. So hopefully soon I’ll be able to fix some of the issues and glitches so you guys will be able to run Retromod smoothly. :)

There is no retromod folder in the gmod data folder. Is it because my gmod data and game is in the (D:) drive?

When i try to use it, i get an error in the lua console.

I've tried this with multiple ROMs.
It makes the game show a blackscreen and white scrolling bottom to top or the same effect but with a black box aligned to the left (which might just be that one rom).

Refusing to load retromod_main because it is missing Type and Base keys! || any ideas?

This addon is trash, it doesn't create a retromod folder, even when I restart the game, and enter a map. And yea, It's enabled.

Hey, so I'm probably the 5 millionth user to ask this but:
Need help with Retromod client. It's asking me if I have it set up when I clearly have it set up.
And no, I don't have anything in an external hard drive. I would have already have had the problem fixed an hour or two ago if that were the case.
(I've also attempted to specify where gmod is. Even using the actual names of folders and whatnot. But still no luck.) Any help please?
