Llama:
You can load a random map inside the Scenario editor, make changes, and then save it as a Scenario. However bear in mind that the map will not be random - it'll be the same every time.

If you want to make the random map spawn more gold, you'll need to edit the RMS file. There are guides online that will teach you how to make your own random map scripts. It should be quite easy to add more gold.

1. Intended behaviour it's not too hard to cut the trees that are in the way.
2. The farms are decorative; you're not intended to be able to use them.

Seems to work fine to me but a couple of things seem up with this map.
1. Veeeery forested around almost all forts, nearly all gates are blocked by trees.
2. The farms seem to be immediately removed by the AI? Or spawn weirdly and end up getting immediately deleted by the map, I'm not exactly sure what's up with them.

I think I'll run a few more games just to see what other weird stuff generates.

Works fine for me. In some cases you may need to cut trees down to clear space around the gates.

I think it's not working afer RoR expansion. I randomly tested it but too much times got screwed. I can't go out of the city.

i noticed when doing the map it sometimes blocks you out of all resources (gates being blocked by all trees whichi s fine for me i can get buy it but cpus cant... and kinda ruins

ive played this a bit and every time ive had no isssue beating the ai as it cant seem to find gold or stone just cuts wood all day.. and farms . is it intentional?

Raymund:The idea with the trees is to limit base-building and force combat to take place a distance from established fortresses - namely in the centre of the map at the shallows ;)

Ruay001: I don't have the map with me currently but I might send you the file later. I suggest you just buy AOE2HD though - it's worth it for the convenience of Steam-integrated multiplayer and modding!
