whens the new map coming?
heres some random advice if you need help making stuff
maybe ask "NuclearGhost" to help you with map making as he can probably teach you how to make content packs due to the fact he makes his maps and the resources they need as 2 seperate addons
also if you decide to make a props pack one day, maybe ask "Sligwolf" as he knows how to model and code them to do specific things, for example: his climable ladders
also maybe ask "titaniumspyborgbear" if you randomly decide to make a playermodel or characters of your own as he models ragdolls and stuff and maybe he can help you (sligwolf makes ragdolls and playermodels also but maybe its best i list all 3 so that you can have more options)

btw try and reduce the resolution of the textures a tad and maybe it will reduce the file size a bit?
also my "synth" dupes were also partly inspired "style wise" by inside aswell

ok thanks for the feedback, maybe search up tutorials on content packs or ask anouther map maker for advice (also ask "titaniumspyborgbear" to help you make ragdolls/props if you decide to one day, as he does it all the time)

heres a few ideas for maps:
1. a waste treatment facility that treats all the sewage and waste produced from the ARES facility.
2. a large containment zone map where "subjects" are contained (some containemnt areas are specialized for more "agressive" subjects and some are different sizes and shapes) (kinda like SCP containment breach in a way).
3. a factory that produces mass produced robot/synth workers to work in ARES labs.
4. an abandoned old ARES lab (just like how aperture in portal 2 has disused areas that are older, rusted and more dangerous).

1. A seperate content pack is something I would have liked to do, becuase the map could have been larger, but i do not know how to do content packs at the moment.
2. I now know how to prevent this issue, and more recent (unfinished) maps use all custom made static props so this will not be a problem in later maps.
3. A button to open the hatch would be something I could do. not a bad idea.
4. Source engine water is weird.
5. Making the map larger is out of the question. this map BARELY makes it past the file size limit so unless I figure out how to do content packs, dont expect any maps larger than this one.
7. Same answer as stated above.
Also while i have modeling experience, I have no idea how to do ragdolls, nor do I have any interest in doing the Inside character or blob.
All in all, I apoligize for seeming agressive in my response, I am aware these were just "ideas", but I wanted to make my point as clear as I possibly could.
I would also rather focus on new maps rather than try to touch up the old ones. Expect a new map sometime soon.
can you maybe make a resource pack to contain the needed files as some kind of "work around"?
also the props are moveable by phsygun so can you make them "persistant" so the player can't grab them
also can you add a button to close/open the hatch in the water area?
also the water in there acts a little weird towards the bottom (props become more boyant)
also maybe make the map a bit bigger as there are some areas where you can add rooms behind the doors of as there is enough space to add some kind of extra space
also maybe add a dead version of the submarine at the part where the chain is and maybe a room/water tank where the "huddle" was contained (just like ingame but the huddle does not need to be there)
also can you make the "mind control" helmets and maybe ragdolls of the characters for scenes and posing and stuff (best put these in a resources pack or assets pack)
i hope you like the "ideas" i tosses towards you
