Not what I've observed. New worlds are creating all the factions properly, and as long as you have the required mods/settings loaded, ships will appear with the proper faction.

If using a mod that requires NPC Programming Extender, make sure in-game scripts are enabled too.

It looks like the problem is back after the Survival Update. Ships show as Sprt.Faction.Name again.

Still custom NPC factions dont get created tho, I can only see space pirates on my list.

@Tontow- It's no longer being updated, since the issue it was designed to fix has been resolved by the devs. Should the issue come back, then I would remove the tag.

++ Great appreciation for your work. You've added unexpected behavior (this is good), elevated aggression (even better), to encounters. It's been far too easy for to long to just sit outside of .sprt engagement range, disable their defenses, then just fly up, lock on, and take a mostly intact encounter home. Corruption and Reavers... harassing, pursuing, or sniping at me.. basically turning the table on tactics I once employed? Respect deservedly given. Yeah, some of them just creep me out and I like that. Thank you! :2016trophy: :steamhappy:

The custom faction(s) for your mod(s) appear to not be working even with your fix mod installed. All the ships and stations spawn as part of the pirate faction, and the server log says something about not being able to find the requested faction.

I posted the first question on your Planetary Cargo Ships mod as well; answer wherever you go first, I don't need nor expect you to waste your time answering me twice.

Once the world starts, the mod will compare the list of faction definitions provided by any other loaded mods to the faction list currently ingame. If there are missing factions ingame, it will create those missing factions. Once this mod adds the missing factions and the world saves at least once, you could technically remove this mod and those missing factions should persist with the game save (since factions typically do that anyway).

If you're loading the whole collection, then longer load times would be expected (more mods usually means longer loading as a general rule). This is especially true with mods that have large file sizes.

This mod alone would not likely impact loading time in any significant way.

its either this mod or the collection as a whole that makes dedicated servers take more than a few minutes to start up.

Only if the mod that provides them has something in place that switches them over (usually script driven)

Reavers don't have a custom faction (yet), so them showing as SPRT is intended behavior

@Meridius_IX Maybe some stupid question, but i still don't see factions. Using Reavers mod, but they still use SPAT. Is there any option i need to check to tell them using own faction?

@revansdownside - Not entirely. AFAIK there are other issues at play with the way EEM handles faction relations. This mod only re-adds the factions from their modfiles so they're visible ingame.

@Octo - Not really, but you may need to save/reload after running with it once.

In regards to EEM thing, I don't believe this fixes all the issues with factions on that end. At best it just gets them to show back up in the faction tab where ModAPI scripts can access them again.

As Chrimi said, the factions appear but the cargo ships still spawn as SPRT. (From EEM) Although the issue may stem from EEM's side or as usual just SE itself.

The mod does as it says though. It brings the npc factions back, but it doesn't add/fix ships spawning into the right faction. So all in all. It works, though what it ultimately will do (beyond what I've said) who knows.

The factions appeared but everything that spawns becomes SPRT, so now i have a SPRT Police Station floating around. No clue if this is just my save or if i failed at inserting the mod...
