Here is a temporary alternative download link if you are having problems with downloading stuff from the Workshop (I have been experiencing problem too)

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/48628193/-%20Middle%20Earth%20-%20Nomad%20v1%2C1.scx

Move the file into the scenario folder

I'm glad you got it to work, but it really should not have to be this hard!
It used to work just fine ... I have mods from earlier, but for the last month or so subscribed items have not been downloading for me.
If it doesn't get fixed, I guess I'm going to have to follow what you did... but that's such a pain ...

Yeah I got the mod working after 100 failed attemps which included restarting my PC, and verifying the integrity of the game cache. I finally got it working after performing the following steps:

I uninstalled all my mods, verified integrity of the game cache, uninstalled AoE 2 HD on Steam, then I went into my harddrive and found my steam folder, then removed the AOE 2 HD folder from my computer. After that, then I did a full restart on my system and reinstalled the game. Then I hit subscribe on your mod and it worked after restarting my system again..... Usually I have to do all of these steps in order to get ANY AOE 2 HD mod working!!!

Aughhh, Skyrim mods are not like this, why is AOE 2 HD like this? Any mod you want to install for AOE 2 HD is like performing surgery on your PC. With Skyrim mods you just hit subscribe and they work, and if you dont want them you just click unsubscribe and they go away. Thats how Steam Workshop should be for every game.

I have been having the same problem when trying to download Worksop items :(

I hit subscribe and I never got the map. Steam workshop is really horrible for AoE 2 HD.

Thanks! I'll post the update soon, along with the update for the the War of the Ring.
The Balrog is a bit small ... but it does it's job of gaurding Moria well ;)

I've playtested the beta scenario. It works great. Those are some nicely designed triggers.

I particularly love your Smaug and Balrog characters... ;)

Cheers! I uploaded a new RMS, "Fortress River", last night. Check it out ^^

Definitely keen to test.

You identified the problem - I can't find a way to make it only work for AI players. I'll have to sift through the triggers some more... It's not too bad though, human players can override the unload command and send the ships somewhere else.
Once I've found something that works, I'll send it to you for testing if you like.
By the way, your RMS maps are great!
Flipbug 14. maj 2013 kl. 2:57
Awesome! You'll want to make sure that it only occurs for AI players. Need a tester?

@Imrhien - I was trying to do it with a custom AI, but AI scripting is pain, and I didn't get it to work. I had not thought of tiggers, but of course that's much easier, and it actually seems to work, so that's what I will set up for now. It does mean that they will always go to the same trigger location, but it's better than nothing. I don't know why I didn't think of this before. Thanks :)

Zetnus: You may be able to get the AI transport ships to drop off their villagers using triggers. That or a customised AI :)
