Move the file into the scenario folder
It used to work just fine ... I have mods from earlier, but for the last month or so subscribed items have not been downloading for me.
If it doesn't get fixed, I guess I'm going to have to follow what you did... but that's such a pain ...
I uninstalled all my mods, verified integrity of the game cache, uninstalled AoE 2 HD on Steam, then I went into my harddrive and found my steam folder, then removed the AOE 2 HD folder from my computer. After that, then I did a full restart on my system and reinstalled the game. Then I hit subscribe on your mod and it worked after restarting my system again..... Usually I have to do all of these steps in order to get ANY AOE 2 HD mod working!!!
Aughhh, Skyrim mods are not like this, why is AOE 2 HD like this? Any mod you want to install for AOE 2 HD is like performing surgery on your PC. With Skyrim mods you just hit subscribe and they work, and if you dont want them you just click unsubscribe and they go away. Thats how Steam Workshop should be for every game.
The Balrog is a bit small ... but it does it's job of gaurding Moria well ;)
