@CP agent try mat_specular 0 in your console. Or relaunch your game once you download my add-on. It should work. everything packed in my addon you doesn't require anything.

Like a shield you would see a Knight Carrying in movies and such. A pack for old shields Like Samurai shields and Viking shields to bundle it into would be pretty neato too.

You should use the Crackdown sheild aswell (Although I can't apply the textures in Blender, thanks useless Diesel tool). You'd prob need to make a new UV thing.

when you drop the shield you can try to place it on the floor. But for more realism the player in front of you can push it but he can't take it from the front.
