Not sure why that could be happening. Unless some other sound or mod is preventing it, it should play the sound upon the player dying.

As far as I know, it should totally be doable, considering how Source has fadeout and fadein commands as well as allowing on-screen text. Just not sure how I'd make it into a mod though.

Huh, yeah. If you want to, something that helps is you can right click on gmod in your library and go to Properties and Set Launch Options and type in (without quotes) "-console", which loads the console on the main menu. It will tell you about unused GMA files, and there you can type "menu_cleanupgmas" to get rid of them.

You mean for the damage? In Gmod, you can go to Utilities> Server Settings and check the box "Realistic Fall Damage", setting it to HL2's fall damage values.

Heh, thanks! To be honest thats the reason I made it originally: RP. See whenever I do gmod RP, I tend to make character death a permanent thing, so this makes that far more dramatic. Plus, I've been into Subnautica a lot recently. Would be more into it if my pc could handle it :p
