I think that it's possible to import the original model from this addon into sfm without much trouble. I don't use it so I'm not so sure

It's possible, but I'm guessing it will take a bit more time to make their skeleton just right so they appear tall in game. They also seem to have more going on with their model, meanwhile the gretchin is pretty simple.
