Both modes have very interesting themes. There's just a lack of mission trees tbh, there's not much fun in 4 missions giving claims

Interesting mod, im currently using it so Europe is less boring and predictable when i play outside there.

Could be wrong but i suspect this mod blocks several shinto incidents from being able to ever fire. They have a requirement "Japan Has Encountered the West" and i believe this is triggered by a country that is vanilla-christian discovering a province in japan. Since all christian in BC are not catholic, protestant ect they dont get the event.

Playing as niqya, managed to take Abbassids after a long painful hugbox of Eretna, Mamluks, and Taraqai. One day after the conquest over a dozen people declare an annexation war on me. And its completely random, I reloaded the save 4-5 times and it was different nations everytime. Is this intended?

@Bat-lango2.0 Sadly, this mod is currently sitting on the back burner for now. We have a pretty small development team for both this mod and Fate of Islam, and Fate of Islam is the current priority. Should you or anyone else be interested in helping us out, you can reach out to us in our discord server! So, to answer your question directly, as things currently stand, we don't know when or if there will be more updates to this mod. Sorry :(

With the Fall of Rome and Constantinople you would expect Heresies to be extremely prevalent imo, what powerful authority would be left to prevent them from forming or to fight them if they did form? What force would prevent a King or duke in this universe from embracing a heresy?

i tried playing as illyria but I have to play as austria and then tag switch. making ironman impossible for dhimmi countries

I gotta agree FoI just doesn't have the same tension as BC or even the base game, because its just a Christian Hegemony over Europe. I love the RP potential for this mod too. I remember I played a game where I formed Italy after kicking out all of the Muslims from the peninsula, then formed the Roman Empire to save Christendom from Islam.
