I just solved the problem, creator! And here is the reason: when I was checking the Nvidia Control Panel, I found out that my computer will automanically use integrated graphics card to run Wallpaper Engine, so I switched it to always use my GTX1060 and the lag was gone! Thank you so much for your help otherwise there's no way I could figure this out by my own! Tons of thanks and good luck making awesome content!

Right-click Wallpaper Engine in the steam client->Properties->Betas->Previous.

Just checked after launched tthis wallpaperand there's only one instince of WE running. The lag only happens when I switch to this specific Wallpaper, though. My other wallpapers from WE work perfectly without such condition ever. Maybe some compatibility problem, I persume?

Open up task manager and check if there is more than one instince of Wallpaper Engine running. Had that happen to me a few times.
