n.chiri, yes I am well are that it requires an entire remap of the texture. I have been discussing this very problem with another dev that may be up to the task. I also have some commissions being done by the same dev, so I might have a whole car set made. who knows.

Ok, but my point about these coaches still stands. As long as there isn't correctly mapped variants of these, repaints of the original UG models with this problem should be adapted to the circumstances. The models are OK, the problem is how they mapped them. Someone could grab these models and remap them completely, along with creating new textures or just adapting the old UG ones. However, this would also require remaking / adapting all the repaints that were made for the original UG versions of the affected coaches so they could work on the new, correctly mapped models.

Yeah, it was. It was a silver streamlined train pulled on the nec by a matching GG1

Congressional? is it a name of one of the PRR train routes?

n.chiri, It would be legal to make an entirely new model since the asset would be made from the ground up. re-using textures is also legal because they aren't being sold.

Steam would have banned many assets along time ago if it were the case, because alot of people use copyrighted graphics in their mods all the time. As long as they are not being sold its fine. Its free advertising for them anyway lol

Since you asked for requests, I would love to see the PRR Congressional coaches in game, to match the GG1 that someone else repainted. Even with just the tuscan red stripe and the keystone on the ends it would be close enough!

In my opinion this is the better thing to do with the coaches that were wrongly mapped by UG, leave them unmarked and just with the livery design. It's a pity, but the only real solution would be re-releasing the UG coaches with new texture mappings and that would also require remaking the vanilla textures. Plus I don't know if that is even legal.

I started to suspect they worked together while doing some research on n&w cars yesterday. Thanks for the info, real neat stuff!

If anyone has any requests for specific roadname color schemes, I can oblige. But know that I can't put text on it without it being mirrored.

Lipinski14D, thanks for your kind words.
NA4U  [作者] 2018 年 7 月 2 日 下午 2:40
Nick, I am considering having a commission made for a dome car as well but the graphics will not be mirrored because the UV map will be dual sided.

Ellabelle, That's why I made it. Norfolk Southern is the current name on the Powatan Arrow cars, but they are indeed Norfolk & Western. Both use the same colors. But the railroad only began to use Tuscan Red & Gold when Pennsylvania Railroad started to invest in the N&W. you will note that both railroads had the same type of "position" signals as well. And when the Pennsy was testing the Baldwin T1, the N&W sent a Class J up to Pennsylvania for them to test along with it. They were great partners.

Norfolk and Western also used this same color scheme, so these coaches would be appropriate behind the J class that donoteat made

Best of luck on all of yours

Yes I hate that it mirrors the texture on the opposite side.
