From my experience with the original mod most of the other blocks are fine other than a lack of specular and normal mapping

No those blocks are beyond repair as the model source files are gone. Would need a full fresh start on them.

yesh keen changed the game code after this mod was published, they hard coded to max 50 km

I'm testing the long range dish in creative right now and I lose sight of it at 50km, in it's settings it also only goes up to 50km

Excellent rework of the old MOD. I love the dish antennas. One note/question: How do I remove "Now DX-11 Ready" from the computer screens? Thanks!

Ah looks like when i was rushing to add mods to my save file (it had crashed 2 times before during creation because of a bad mod) I had accidenlty added Spacebar Rocketry Set, and that were the battery was from. Thought it was from yours since I though your mod was the only retro style mod i was using.

works as an omni directional antenna as the model doesnt provide for rotation and aim like the laser antenna does

Yes they do work in survival, I never test in creative. I will check the ranges on the BIG dish, it should be 100 km unless... wel... KEEN.......

Does the long range antenna dish work in survival? I have an Earth base that is 64km from my asteroid base. Put long range antennas at each base, line of sight and excess power. Neither antenna would pick up the other. I noticed the range slider only goes to 50km also. Is there a problem with the antenna or is it on my end?

If not in small ship, is there any chance you could make it so? Making nasa modular stations is alot easier and more realistic with small blocks. And HUGE THANK YOU for reviving this mod!

Well nothing broke :) but being my busy season at the office i havent had alot of time to crack down on this, next in the list of to do on this are the habitation module pieces.

How is the work looking after the new update? I am very excited to see the NASA Kit mod being revived.. I am pumped to use this mod as a whole, the way the orginal creator envisioned.

Added today - Xenon-Ion 550 kn higher thrust engine ( about 50 % greater thrust vs Large block small ion thruster ). Parts adjusted accordingly as well as power required to run.

@remethep thanks for the review! The small antenna is ranged at 35km from 50 km actually ( changed just after your review was recorded but befor your releaseI think ) and will be adjusting the solar panels and large antenna as well ( as that it had double the normal range ). Programing block already ajusted slightly as well :)
