Hi Milk, you seem like you know your stuff, Is it possible to use this to make games and then release DLC, I'd like to make a flight simulator then release Aircraft/Scenery DLCs and that be my only focus :)

thanks for reply, is there a way to update/set a setting somewhere? as when i hire/search for employees. the specializations/skils for the ones for a few are always empty, so when i hire i have to send every employee to long 6 months+ training each to get any skills in them? or have i set it up wrong/missing something? (so currently cant use the mod without unable to make some apps as nobody will get any skills in the right specializtion) other then that i love this mod

does this add more specializations? im trying to find which of my 4 mods its causing the game to not be able to train/hire people who can do algorithms etc. as i cant seem to get anyone in them fields except myself

It'd be very cool if you could create an mmo, maintain it, and release expansions for it. Mad Games Tycoon did it very well. You can either charge upfront money, or a subscription, or both, or go free to play with microtransactions. Good option is to launch as a paid game with subscription then switch to free to play when the game dies before releasing a couple paid expansions.

I don't know if it's possible to do in Software Inc, but it'd be cool.

As in the <Category> tag used for what skills people need to develop the software/feature. I also noticed, you use <Category>Coding</Category>, when <Category>Code</Category> exists. Seems redundant, unless I miss the reason for it existing.

I'll add you so we can keep it touch on the project easier, for now I'm just wondering, is the only time the [NoLoc] bug happens when you use a custom category tag? It's the only time I've encountered it afaik, but if you've seen it elsewhere, let me know.

Yeah, that's why I said the fix is annoying. You would need to get people to subscribe to and use a localization for each mod. I'm tempted to create a localization to support as many mods as possible so people would only need one. A unification of sorts.

I believe I've found a "fix" for the [NoLoc] bug. You must add the item that has the bug into a localization file. It worked for my mod, hope it works for you. (I say "fix" with quotations because a new localization needed for a mod is quite annoying.)

Ah yes as this feature is already in the mod, I will be re-adding this in the next update 2.6/2.7 coming before march 2nd, It is in the game engine section and will be added to the actual game software type. Thank You!

hmm havent done everything yet and explored the entire mod, but what about a mobile game IAP type thing? would this be possible?
