I think the reason inventions stop at 1850 is that it was originally an 1830-1850 mod of version 1.2 (if I remember correctly, there wasn't an 1830-1930 scenario at the time). Anyway, I don't know how to change it now.

As for St. Louis, there really isn't a flat area where it belongs. I guess that's why the game moved it into Illinois. :)

This is really a nice piece of work. There is a fair amount of thoughtful tweaking that has been done throughout the modification. I still wish we could get the ability to create signage and string telegraph wires with realistic poles. However, WELL DONE!

For the record, I'd like to try and do with the full US map what you've done with this one, but also increase the size of everything...essentially I want to try and piece together the regional maps so the full map is more to scale.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Any pointers on guides to use them? Both seem to have a steep learning curve from trying to putz around in them

I used Tiled and Tome, pretty much as the user manual suggests. You can't open Tiled from within the game like you do Tome. Download at https://www.mapeditor.org/ and open from your desktop.

how did you edit the map? Using the tiled software the game promps you to go and download?
