But I'm not modding this game anymore and I have no interest in keeping the mods working.
I'm not familiar with the game code anymore anyway.

As mentioned before the game finally added this feature (maybe/probably thanks to this mod) into the base game. Props for the creator(s) and I'll be using it anyway until it breaks or gets removed =)

It's now implemented in the base game but the creator deserves a big round of applause for making this mod thus vastly improving the quality of life before Fatshark finally implemented this themselves.

This mod still makes it so your character blocks during the intro cutscene while the rest of your teammates stand normally unless they also have the mod, so it still has it's place in my mod list.

Yes Starshadow, I have tested the mod vs. the new QoL feature implemented by Fatshark. This mod is sadly no longer necessary. The only real difference is that the QoL of doesn't have a push feature (like Saint Pablo below you said). The mod even works better if you're using a gamepad -- because you actually block in the tab and escape menus.

The lastest QoL patch to the main game claims to implement this feature. So this mod may be obsolete, has anyone tested it versus the new game code?

Although the Block functionality has been added to the game as of Patch 3.2, the Animation and Push feature from this mod was not which means that this mod still has an important place in the game.

As of Patch 3.2 however, the Animation and Push feature of this mod seems to be broken. The push animation plays correctly on exiting chat/menus but does not actually have any effect on enemies (i.e. they do not get pushed and staggered). It would be amazing if the mod could be updated to keep the Push feature but I can understand if not due to Fatshark's apathetic mod re-approval process. Take care and peace out.

@Detective Pingachu It works for me. I disabled this mod and my character still automatically blocks while chat is open in Patch 3.2

Indeed. In patch 3.2, the functions of this mod were added to the game. Hopefully, there will be no more problems related to this mod in the Keep during the event.
P.S: In any case, thanks to the mod author for a nice job! This wouldn't have happened without you.

Looks like the mod is no longer needed anymore :| most recent patch mentions in the patch notes that when you open any menus including the chat menus your character will automatically block for you.

Just to note: Now, in current "summer" temporary Keep decoration, this bug has returned. I.e, this mod works again in Keep.
While it seems that, Developers have fix some of the problems with incorrect speech of characters in Keep.

Just to note: Now that the Skulls for the Skull Throne event is over, the movement speed bug in the keep is no longer active.

Seems to be because it stacks the movement speed reduction of blocking without removing it once your weapon is swapped.

Can confirm the 'movement speed slow down in the keep' bug. It seems that the mod doesn't detect the status of being inside Taal's Keep on the current update (due to the Skulls for the Skull Throne event) and will activate its functionality even inside the keep. So when you change equipment, this somehow triggers chat, which causes the mod to "block" and slow down your movement speed.

For me it looks like the problem with the moving speed is because of the new frame. When you enter the keep you get a message that you got the new frame and for any reason the message is triggering the mod to block. Since the mod should be disabled in the keep I would think anything isn't correctly disabled or anything like this.
Respawning because of class change or jumping into death is solving the problem temporarily.
When I'm right, then marking the frame or whatever the message disables should solve the problem completely until the next time an update unlocks anything.

The mod works well, but it reduces your movement speed temporarily while swapping weapons in the Keep. Each time I swap melee weapons and leave the inventory, my movement speed is being reduced cumulatively due to the block-push. Easy fix is to just swap hero and swap back again, but it gets pretty annoying when I'm testing a lot of different weapons.

Mod works fine still. Just wish I'd gotten it earlier!

Do note that it does NOT work while you're in Taal's Keep. Go into a mission and it'll work fine.

I thought I had suggested this before, but looking through the comments, I guess I didn't...

Would it be possible to have the mod start blocking when you open the player list (I think Tab is default)? I know you start to block if you right click with the player list window open, but it would be nice to block just when holding Tab, too. Not a big deal I suppose, given the aforementioned right click, but I thought I'd bring it up anyway.

Hey, love the mod! I was wondering if it would be possible to modify it to also block right after you are revived if you started typing in chat while you were dead/downed. I die a lot from this when i am ghost revived from an invis player. :'(

Whatever you do don't take away blocking during the intro it looks super badass. Thats one of the main reasons I got this mod lol
