Updated I had since acquired Rochelle textures by Valve. So I remade it using her default shirt with only logo removed :horns:

People hating Rochelle has nothing to do with people being sexist or racist. I hate her because her lines are annoying, she is such a boring character, "Axe me a question" her cringe-inducing laughs, and all we know of her backstory is she was a reporter. Coach is a football coach who loooves his cheeseburgers and has enough optimism to spare. Ellis is a redneck who loves sharing his wacky stories with Keith with everyone, and is usually the one to pull out his knowledge about the various places they encounter. Nick is a con-man who recently escaped from prison, stole the suit he wears, and isn't very nice.
Plus Rochelle is just ugly, and sounds like a bitch.

It's okay to like Rochelle. But don't condemn others who have a differing opinion.

Why do people hate Rochelle so much? She's my favorite character in Left 4 Dead 2, I always play as her & Zoey's my favorite in Left 4 Dead. I'm a male & who thinks Rochelle is one real awesome character. Besides, she's the same as every other character in the game. I guess people are just scared of black woman being bad-ass

g-dude: I think Ro's personality is more or less suppressed. She has a number of lines that are far better than the ones Valve left in the game. I wish they had kept them in.
As for my group, I'd go for Rochelle- black women for the win. I know this for a fact - marrying one in three months :P
