Fixed (sort of); works with 3.0 update, doesn't need any additional mods.

These files are for MANUAL installation. For those not familiar with the procedure:

After local mod folder is created, unzip archive content into it. Don't forget to include your local mod into a playset.
Also, check out "path=" line inside ".mod" file that launcher creates. Only latin symbls are allowed there, so change the line and move mod files, if nesessary;
example: "C:/Games/Stellaris_mods/Jump_Gates".

The problem was in changed game directory structure and shader definitions. I'm not experienced shader coder, so you, guys, may fix them better.

I agree. Not only broken but makes the game completely unplayable on my machine as the screen is a nightmare. This is so sad.

I'll confirm that, after all this time the mod has finally been broken by the update. Menu screen and much of the empire selection is messed up. Unusable now, will miss using it.

quick suggestion, can you make the animation turn the otherway?
it is turning against the clock while the image would work better letting it turn clockwise,
Just a suggestion, love your mod bro.
(Vortex images work with the idea of it sucking in material, which turning the rotation will fix)

Actually not quite fine in 2.6. Some systems turn completely black at certain zoom levels when this is on.

Works just fine for 2.6.1. If you don't like the warning, just edit the files to change the versions number.

Would be neat if you had to research a tech to build the gates before you could travel between stars. build one end send the construction ship through and build another on the other end to get a connection.

The ring seemed to have disappeared in Stellaris v2.5. Does anybody have a clue as to why that happened?

For anyone stressed at all by the version warning, on sound or graphical mods, they can be manually updated/downdated to match the version you're playing.

@Bocaan it's just a graphic, there's no game system behind it. Just swapping the visual assets. Unless paradox undoes changes made in the game code, warp and jump points are gone.

could this also be used as a way of reimplimenting the old Wormhole drive technology? as i remember before the drive fuckery that came with 2.0 wormhole drives needed a gate structure to be built at the edge of the system while it made exploration slow the drive speed was the fastest out of the warp, hyperdrive and wormhole drive and once a sufficient gate network was operation it was well insane........ i often remembered meeting the second human faction in 1.9 and noticing that invading there space was problematic even if only one gate was allowed in the system at a time as the AI kept rebuilding the gates thus reenforcements kept piling in lol.

still this jump gate could be used as a way of reimplimenting the old wormhole drives i know someone has made warp drive workable using the jump drives as a base yet this could easily bring back the wormhole drives.

Guys...just go to C:\Users\Dan\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\mod\ugc_1380293767.mod and edit it with notepad++...chance 2.2.* to 2.3.* save and you're done...You're welcome.

so i think i figured out how to make it not crash with real space, first of all it's compatible with 2.3 because nothing changed regarding the asset of the system map
if u want it to be compatible with RS, u need to download this mod, compare the gfx/pdxmesh.shader file with RS' file with the same name, and add the part from RS that's missing in this mod, for how to make this ur own local mod, go to stellaris wiki modding page
