This lighting mod does absolutely nothing. Not sure if it's broken or if it's just that minimal. There's no before and after photos provided on the mod either so theres not even a reference to what it's supposed to improve.

I'd like to ask for your permission to merge this lighting mod into my own. I've managed to repack this mod, I'd like to include it in my tweakset which is going to be the base of a large mod later.

Of course with the proper credit given.

I was hoping to use the Remastered Lighting w/o the HD textures, because I think that they detract from the art style of this game. When I tried to enable the lighting portion though, the mod loader tells me that it's outdated. I've been unable to update mods myself (I created a thread about it in the modding forum). Can someone update this, or confirm that it doesn't need to be? Thanks in advance.

The textures aren't actually part of the mod, so there's no worries there. But, I am seeing in the screencaps you posted here some figures that are totally in the dark. The current v. 1.3 lighting is supposed to only show figures when they are lit. Any chance you can redo this export you did, with the current version?

Pey'j I appreciate you taking the time to comment, but like I told the last guy, it's not my mod, I just uploaded it here because I enjoyed it and so did many others. It takes people alot of time to make these, so if you don't like it, that's completely fine. But telling someone they wasted their time just because you didn't like it is just rude. Taking the time to type and post a comment like that for someone that is doing this for others for free will never make any sense to me. Anyway it's your opinion and I'll leave it at that. Darc, i'm sorry but you wasted your time on this, I don't liked the Dark Grass, The textures are tottaly HD so that makes the graphics look horrible, The Remastered lighting is one good idea, but the Textures... man, you just wasted your time.

If you spent the same amount of time reading as you did to type that pointless comment, you would have read the description where it states that I didn't create this mod. So not only is your comment meaningless, but you also made yourself, and haters the world over, look bad. Next time you decide to hate on a mod creator, realize they are getting nothing for their time and hard work besides the gratitude of others. They create mods so we can play our favorite games in new and exciting ways. I have no patience for people that post smug comments about modders. All you're doing is wasting your time and making modders feel like they aren't appreciated. This leads to less mods for us all to enjoy. All mod creators deserve a big thank you for trying to make all our favorite games just a little bit better.

I'm not sure.. That's never happened to me or anyone else I know of. It might be because you have a video player set as the default way to open that file type. Try right clicking on it and go to open with, and remove whatever it has set to default or just pick something else. It won't hurt anything leaving it the way it is either, it will just have the icon for a movie clip even though it's not. Hope this helps. I agree ! A lowres version of this awesome texture mod would be great :D (beautiful wellspring temple, but very fps expensive : 15 fps average, 5 fps during battles)

That's great to hear, if you ever want me to change anything all you have to do is say the word. I know it's not easy making mods, especially keeping them up to date. Like I said before, it's enough for me just to play it and I will keep spreading the word. Thanks again!

Hi Johnny, I have been trying to find a way to fix it, but as far as I can tell, you can't. I'm not very experienced with the GUTS editor though, so I could be wrong. If I do find a way to fix it, I'll post it here.

The shader is perfect, but the units are bright even in shadows, they really stick out - is there any way to fix this? I really love this mod.

Textures seems to be good, but it kinda ruins the purpose of the graphics of TL2: to be cartoony and funny in a way, though brutal. Brutally Cartoony and Cartoonly Brutal. This mod takes the humor away, then it stops being TL2 ;/ At least, that's my opinion. Good work on the textures anyway.

I don't think there is a way to stop them from glowing Altered Nova. However, I'll take a look at the mod in the GUTS Editor tonight and see if I can find a way to make that happen for ya.

Is there any way to disable the glow-in-the-dark effect that all monsters and npcs seem to have? The new realistic lighting system looks great on the landscape but it looks really weird when the npcs aren't affected by it.

Well, seeing screenshots I have to say, this mod completely changes the cellshading-like vanilla textures for others more realistic. But still didnt convinced at all. I think you must focus on improve lights a bit more. Maybe there is so much excess of light

I know what you mean Stormchaser, in some places it seems like the textures aren't quite right. Then there's other times when they look amazing. I still prefer the HD Textures over the original ones. I recommend using SweetFX With all your games. It makes every game look alot better IMO. Check out this Dishonored Screenshot, it shows the image with and without SweetFX.

Yes Hypnos, Subscribing gets you the Remastered Lighting Mod and the Link is for the HD Textures Mod. 2 seperate mods.
