It works in any biome, with any kingdom. Just need to be placed close to the water.

Do the crab traps work with the northern folks in there native land? I am planning as them in there native land and I can't get the crab trap to capture any crabs. Alaska has crabs.

I figured out a solution for the fisher not fishing. I dont know why it works, but I just switched his job to a worker and back to Fisher. Was attempting other solutions for an hour. This is the only thing that worked.

Can you explain "not working"?
Does it not appear in your active mods? Does it contents does not appear in game? There are errors popping up?

This mod not working for me.. I have other mods and they're working just fine.

You probably need to reactivate their other tasks like hauling

The fisherman wont fish. Does he do it automatically? I have placed a dock, I only have his job activity checked, and he has fish lines to store them on but he just sits idle. Any info would be great!

You need all his checkboxes on the character list marked on (haul, job, etc...)
Things needs to be accessible. You need not only empty space, but be under town limit for the items to be stored (they will not start a task knowing it will not have space for the result item later)
And things needs to be close in case of high lag, as the latency impacts the ability to calculate paths and they end up doing other simple tasks with less calculations instead

Maybe they are just busy? Some tasks can only be done by specific jobs. Not sure which box you are talking, is it the one from the quest?

Is this an issue with the game or why are my dudes not opening the box. The trees also arent harvested anymrore and so on

Pearls are harvested by fishers from oysters, which appear only in the archipelago biome.

i dont know how to find pearls and couldnt figure out.. can anybody explain?

Citizens will not install the fishing Docks, everything else works fine. This mod used to work fine

It is like any other decoration. You pick a place for it and wait someone deliver that there.

how do you get your fisher to place a crab trap? I ordered the placement near the shore and further away, neither were placed.

As the game goes, citizens do simple tasks only, not related to food production. Fishing upgrades happens with level up, like faster fishing.
I will try the cooked crab.

can you add cooked crab to both the cook and fisher?

can you make that worker that are not haul,mine or build do fishing instead of standing around?
to help feed the town?
can you add a fishing boat and some fishing upgrades like a net for more fish per use?

It is a bug in vanilla (not sure if ace fixed that). Containers that start with the "all" filter, even if there are only a few filter options (here, fish items only) will accept all items. You have to uncheck that, then check only the fish filter.
For the crab meat filter, for normal containers it should go into the meat ingredient filter. For input containers (baskets, shelfs, etc... those that have priority and a bunch of detailed filters) it should appear with other ingredient filters.

for some odd reason, my hearthlings are still able to use the fish crates for other things and the crab meat ends up just lying all over the ground. i have checked the other stockpiles and crates and they don't show any options for the crab or fish.

I have no idea if its due to the new ACE update, but whenever i chop palm trees, the Workers stand way too close to the palm trees and sometimes inside of them.

I think it is trapper++ faulty. Fish traps were created by ACE, and in there it is the trapper that has the power to use it. In the past it was craftable, but it is not anymore, like for a year now.
Now it is just a button in the trapper UI (select him, bottom left panel) that allows you to place it.
Here in the fisher mod we just allowed that ability to also be used by the fisher class.

I think fish traps are severely bugged for me lol. Whenever they get crafted, it looks like the trapper immediately places them on... dry land.

After rechecking I also found the Palm and Papaya Seeds on the Herbalist. Its not sorted in the Trees section though. Thats why I didnt see them. I just looked at the tree seeds.

They drop randomly from the drandens and smaleas, average 1 seed per tree. Papayas and palms seeds are done through herbalist recipes

Is there a way to get the seeds of the Trees on the Archipelago. I would love to be able to replant the Trees I fell.

As long as both are using the steam version of the mod, without any downloaded local version, it should work. Usually more mods means longer loadings

I have I problem when I join my friend on Multiplayer when trying to run this mod, I don't know what the problem is because its always my PC that cannot connect when the mod is use, any quick fixes?

No, its s seperate mod. but ACE does have its own fishing via the trapper now.

Is this part of ACE now?

I will see what i can do. But if that mod is the one adding new outfits, then it is their job to add outfit for the fisher too lol
