After 5 years of modding for this game I am stepping aside. Life has me busy and I will not have time to update my mods. If anyone picks this up let me know and I'll post a message in the description pointing people to the 1.4 version.

The value this mod changes is Randy's orbital trader chance, not base chance

So why <baseChance>3</baseChance> results in weight 1.1? I'm very curious. It's a log relation?

Update:
Changed the default "Orbital Visitor Random Weight" from 1.0 to 1.1 to match Randy's default value

The weight value in "Defs/Storyteller" is "3", why you here is "1". I'm quiet confused.

Randy is completely random and the ships per day does not apply. Instead use "Orbital Visitor Random Weight" which will increase/decrease the chance of a trade ship from happening.

Randy. Basic modpack, nothing crazy - Vanilla Expanded and Combat Extended with some minor mods. Nothing else that should effect trade ships.

It doesn't seem to be working. In fact, since I installed this mod I haven't seen ANY trade ships after 2 years in game...

Warning, if you find that there is no trading ship for a long time, just don't use the third narrator. The third narrator will cause the trading ships to be completely random.

I'm feeling like an idiot, but... where's the menu to change how many ships i get? I dont see an option on the comms console or the bottom bar.

Weight in statistics is the probability (or chance) of something happening. In this case, a trade ship event happening.

Thanks as always KV for the mod, and cleaning up the comments. Going with this over calling trade ships for a little tweak on vanilla. Some steam points for you! Cheers!

Cleaned them up. Comments from two years ago are not helpful and I wanted only relevant info to stay at the top. Steam makes all of this hard to manage though but I found a script that would remove all comments
