I noticed the ai ignores some mined resourcces, the two I noticed were limestone and Tin. which no ai ever worked... and would sometimes just build districts over. Great mod, just thought id lyk.

Usual disclaimers, this is my opinion, no offense intended, etc.

First, Sugar Maple currently needs a saw mill. The problem is that maple syrup is made by tapping and draining sap from the trees, not cutting them down - you're not using these trees for lumber. A plantation makes more sense here, as it's a luxury food item that's primarily valued for taste, not nutrition. Plantations being primarily gold seems to fit better than the production boost from a mill.

I'm also not really sure about tomatoes, berries, and dates being plantation crops rather than farms. Tomatoes and berries at least are more about rounding out people's food sources than providing novel/exotic tastes. I wouldn't consider tomato sauce to be a cash crop like cotton, tea, or tobacco.

Is there a way to get just the bonus resources? I'm using CIVTAS and Sukitract's resource mods already which add plenty of luxuries but no (or very few) bonus resources?

It appears that while playing Monopolies & Corporations, completing a Generate Product Project for a Corporation based on any of the new resources introduced in Resourceful 2 causes a crash.

this mod doesn't work with Pokiel's Better Pantheons, Ox aren't reacting to God of Open Sky.

How would I go about keeping a resource from spawning without deleting it? I want to use just my favorite resources in order to keep it under the asset limit.

Wanted to ask because I think it was a bug. I had a mining resource that disappeared when a volcano erupted it was a tin resource.

@Lord_Weasel I can't add more resources from some time ago when modders confronted the "Asset limit" main issue. This mod loads many assets. That's why Resourceful Lite is there too. I play with lots of mods and I use Res Lite in heavy modpacks and Res2 in light modpacks.

@Darkwing Phoenix The only way you can see all resources, like I do, is with YNAEM, where you can add all resources (vanilla and mod). It is fun to develop a city on a remote one tile island because it's just next to the only Platinum resource available on the map.

I would install this, but it makes the luxuries harvest-able which isnt normally available. I just want quality of life, nothing game altering. Hopefully in the future I can toggle that.

I was looking over things and realized Cashmere is improved by a pasture, so Goddess of Festivals wouldn't apply, but I still don't understand the other discrepancy.

Hi, I've been using Resourceful 2 or Resourceful Lite for hundreds of game hours now, I absolutely adore it. But now I'm beginning to get into modding and I'm doing some basic stuff to try to wrap my head around it, using your mods here to understand how the sql changes things in the game. I notice for something like Poppies, CLASS_GODDESS_OF_FESTIVALS is necessary, I would guess, to apply the yield increase from that Pantheon to the resource. However, I notice Saffron, also improved with a Plantation, has CLASS_ORAL_TRADITION, which used to do what Goddess of Festivals does now.

So my questions are these, why do some of the resources, like Poppies and Tomatoes, get the Goddess of Festivals class, and something like Saffron gets Class Oral Tradition, and I see Cashmere doesn't have any Class relating it to Goddess of the Hunt for Camp improvement yield adjustment, why are these things the way they are?

The amount and variety of resouces in each map is the same. This only gives more resources to the "resource basket" which every game picks and place them on the map. In a map config where it spawn 12 different luxuries, luxuries will be always 12, in a mix between vanilla and Resoucerful 2 ones.

Wouldn’t this mod make the Aztec really OP? They have a trait that makes every unique luxury improved in their lands give them 1+ combat strength. They would be unstoppable militarily wouldn’t they?

Granted though, mods like this one also added a large number of assets that contribute to the problem, but it wouldn't be a problem if Firaxis increased the limit everytime they released DLC content...

It's not really this mod itself that is at fault, rather it's the stupid hardcoded asset limit that Firaxis hasn't increased and which the subsequent R&F, GS, NFP and Leader Pass DLC content packs have all significantly aggravated as a result of all of the new assets they've added to the base game since its launch in 2016.
