The engines are just counter rotating wheels, the first one being unpowered and the second one ontop being driven. Through Newton's third law the unpowered wheel will start spinning opposite to the powered one. The speed difference at which these two wheels spin is dependant on their weight difference, so I put extra braces onto the unpowered wheel to make the powered one spin faster in return.

It takes off with almost no runway, which really help to avoid obstacles and reach the air where there's plenty of room to fly. Landing is impressive too. There's so much lift, that even if you land crooked and hit the wings first, the plane still doesn't break. The only thing this plane needs now is an oversized map to fly...

Mine's bigger...but not even half as nice to control.
I will say that the roll speed could be a little faster to match the pitch speed, but not much though. Otherwise it's very fun to fly and otherwise mess around with.

this is a great base for larg planes! i modified it into a bomber and called it theodore, following with the theme of the machines spiderling posted. its supposed to look like an early bomber developed by a nation mostly unfamiliar with aircraft (ipsilon kinda), so it only has 4 bombs on a 1 button release system. would it be okay with you if i uploaded it?
