Czechoslovakia was known as "The Forge of Europe" before WWII and was the main vehicle supplier in Comecon: USSR widely used Czech-built engines (f.e., ~90% of 13 000 T3 Tatras ever built run in USSR). It is not exactely the same, but yes, most of SF trolleys are technically also Škoda 14Tr (and 15Tr) vehicles. As well as Dayton trolleys. You will be surprised but Portland and Takoma cities also use Škoda 10T tram cars, and New Orleans used to test Tatra T6C5 tram unit. Also I've heard about some Icarus buses in Mid-West.

They run these kind of busses in San Francisco! Cool to see someone pay homage to Czech engineering.
