1.) Neither is TF2, but people like it anyway. (The closest games that comes to realism to my knowledge for Valve is I believe "Counter Strike: Global Offensive", and Rockstar's "Grand Theft Auto V")
2.) No one is making you like FNAF, nor is anyone forcing you to.
3.) It depends what specifically your using them for :\
Honestly there already has been slight fandom war, but that is betwen the haters that didn't like the game to begin with, and the FNAF Fans. It merely has to do with neither side respecting the other's views/opinions, but welcome to the internet.

step 2 do I actually hate fnaf?: Yes
step 3 why do I look at fnaf addons: because most of them have textures that live upto the addon title
