Maybe not the prettiest map, but it's a freaking blast if you like rock crawling. Spent 7.5 hours on here with friends last night.

@Hydrazombie I don't think you understood me your PC has zero to do with it, yes it's the model count because the game uses only 2gb memory by default. That said you load two mod trucks and your pushing that limit install the 4gb patch to help alleviate issues. Again it's the games lack of optimization, those are super low poly models, and the textures are tiny. Game freaks out with too much stuff. It's a coding issue among other things....

i have a very good gaming pc with 16gb memory and the video card is a nvidia geforce gtx 1070 8gb gb memory by itself, i believe it the amount of rocks because it doesn't happen on maps with average rock count. maybe a modder should make a rock pack with less triangles and works better in higher population on a map

@Hydrazombie due to the shear model count this map is literally covered with rocks on and off the trails. I pushed it right to where I started seeing a bit of performance loss and then optimized best I could. It's a game limitation among other things with game not being optimized that said research will show you some things that do remedy some issues by implementing more memory allotment. I do apologize but you could see low performance if you're PC isn't very good or you don't have the 4gb memory patch installed.

Bloody hell, this is off the hook.
Played every crawler map on the workshop and this has ruined us.
Best fun ever!!! Been on here for hours with mates in Multiplayer and we barely done 10%, just winching team efforts and having a blast. +1 this map is amazing!

Best rock crawling map yet. There is a missing texture on a pipe at the start, no big deal tho. 10/10

If it helps: the flashing usually occurs when the camera is moving, which feels a lot like Z-fighting. Would be funny if the rocks had duplicate geometry.

And having sub-par rocks isn't so much of a problem. I like the vanilla ones in combination with the cliff texture, because they fit together visually. If you mix vastly different rocks, then it starts sticking out.

@fudabidu I have been out of touch with my maps and mods, that said I noticed a few missing textures the last I ran this map, I'm not sure what the issue is since I haven't touched it and last I knew it was working fine. Obviously something changed since I made it but I'll try and get the textures fixed. None of the rock models have real nice textures there all kinda shotty my apologies.

One of the new rock models keeps flashing like crazy and none of them fit with each other visually. It's a mess.

@joebar65 yea that's due to the shear number of models, unfortunately the stock game does not like this very much. Really great and challenging map. Had a lot of fun with it. Only thing I noticed was a missing (white) texture for the sewer pipe and the ground under the fuel station (somebody else reported this before). And once or twice one of my tires got caught in a big rock (wall?), but I think that's an issue with the game engine.

Hi Heli-AV8R yeah i do have the the beta installed that i got from steam, the only maps i see are the base maps plus the dlc... i cant see what im doing wrong?

@Heli-AV8R I believe you have some files conflicting somehow do you have jsgme installed mods? Could possibly be another map changing ground textures. I would like to help but need more info...

I did that. no big deal. I can see by the comments no one else is having any issue. being the only one only makes it less likely I will figure out the problem. its ok.. there are other maps. :/

I have. its only this map. not sure what the issue is. it happens immediately when opening the game, so unless I'm running out of memory immediately when I startup... and its only the very same textures missing every time I load the map.

I would recommend getting the 4gb patch your probably running out of memory

Mine has some missing textures. Ive reinstalled it and its still the same. some areas of the ground are just black, and some objects are white with no textures. the ground near the fuel farm and the sewer pipes near it are white. haven't explored further, because this annoyed me right off the bat. :(

KRONIC you have to be using the beta version that includes workshop map support. are you using that version and you have other maps working?
