This teaser map was created just for the teaser trailer, nothing else.
This is a teaser map that has nothing to do with any of the preivious versions of SOMA.
The fact that it is shown in the video doesn't mean it has anything to do with the actual game.
Even the assets for this map have the prefix "teaser_" assigned to their names.
Therefore, these assets were made specifically to the teaser, and thus has no more significance other than that.
Furthermore, the purpose of the mod was to restore a map, not to reinvent it.
...is he supposed to be there? He looks somewhat weirdly of out of place, misplaced object perhaps or was he in the original as well?
