I could've asked him but, apparently he does not check this mod anymore. Also in the rebooted version, I put the original author's name in the screenshots, mod image, and description. Also when you load the mod, it will show a notification of the original author. So, even though I did not ask him because he does not check this mod anymore, I did credit the author in many different ways.

I would ask you Sam if you had permission from X to reboot his mod, but I believe he’s been AWOL for some time now.

2018-Nov-19: Mod incompatible with game version.
I was hoping to experience this "better than creative" experience... But it might not be worth the trouble for the author to make an update if players can now more or less get the same results with other tools and grindy setup.

I guess all I get is Extended Cheat Menu, then. And the long, long process of setting up gamerules and stuff so it actually feels like creative mode. *flops onto ground and sighs* All the sadness.

This mod is no longer necessary. The developers added a creative mode that has similar features. However, it disables achievements for that playthrough.

Suggestion: Allow toggleability on some of the cheats, or even better, customization. For instance, let's say I want the easy research and tons of funding, but not the huge cargo capacity, 0-second travel time, or no maintenance. I feel like it would be really nice to be able to select which cheats you wanted, since it's nice to be able to build a base immediately, but also makes maintaining it way too boring. Anyways, great mod!

At OdinAC, I'm sorry your son was treated that way. I do think that I remember your sons case well. That kind of reaction from the community (not only modders) was indeed uncalled for. However, like Abyss said, there is no accidental upload button and people here take plagiarism quite serious in the modding community. Here is a bit of advice that you can pass on to your son, do not reupload someones work without permission from the mod author. Think of uploading someones mod as writing a paper without the proper citations and claiming those words as your own. You can be severely punished under the law for doing so. The same goes for mods because several modders (myself included) have our mods copyrighted to avoid this issue in the future.

For example, for the modders who live in the USA like myself our mods are already copyrighted the moment they are created (actually anything an American creates by themselves are automatically copyrighted). On this note, I have personally filed DMCA claims against stolen mods and had them subsequently removed from the workshop.

TL:DR -- Reuploading mods without Authors written consent is theft and punishable by law.

Odin it's impossible for him to have accidentally copied this mod and uploaded it under him in the workshop. There is no "accidental" button, and people take plagiarism very seriously here. Their reactions were extreme. However, he did steal someone else's work and tried to call it his own.

How are people copying this mod my son did it by accdent. He was called a Thief and was told to kill him self over a dum ass mod. The only thing he was looking for was a way to make his game more fun.

Any word on an update to fix some of the problems people have been listing?

Would it be possible to have sliders to adjust all the values. 10 million research per turn is a crazy amount. You might as well just enable all research at once. I would like to lower the value to maybe 2000 a sol instead of the 10 million. I wouldn't mind adjusting the other values to be a bit less crazy high.

People are stealing this mod lmao

When the funding gets above ten quadrillion, the resource overlay glitches out. Once you view resources, the funding pop-up never goes away even if you reload or even start a new game. It prevents any other menu pop-ups from displaying and it coveres a good bit of the screen. The only way to make it go away is to restart the entire game.

Maybe lower the funding by a factor of 100 (or even more) so funding doesn't accumulate so fast?

Currently unaware that the game was updated. IRL developing a game currently so this mod is taking a back burner until the weekend when I can work on it some more. Will try to update it and add an on/off menu ASAP.

freezes the game ... all other mods work but this one ... did a one by one search to find out which one was crashing it ... its this one ... a fix would be great please ... only really interested in playing sandbox so a working mod would be great ... thanks for the effort you put into making these for the mod illiterate like myself

That's alright, Stellaris has a similar problem as well as you've got to experiment to see which mods are compatable unless the mod creator knows which ones aren't compatable out of the gate.

You shouldn't have to pay materials for maintenance ever. At least I haven't in my several attempts at it. I don't think I can do anything about pipe or wire leakage yet, but I will keep looking into it.

i can confirm the mod is working for me but the Eliminates maintenance is still there and wire and pipes are still leaking

Sorry it's not working for you guys. As of now, I do not know how to diagnose what could be causing it not to work. I'll try and make a thread on the forums and maybe a developer can shed some light on what could possibly make it work for some and not work for others.
