@dagosoyyo - The grey girder part is a normal bridge, that should appear in the list with the standard ones. It has no ends or pillars. These are added manually, from the Assets menu. They need to be placed onto existing rail or road, such that they snap to the correct height.

Hello, is there a video showing how to use these bridges? Whenever I try to build one, they get stuck in the ground; you can hardly see the tip of the iceberg, but not the bridge...

@Neighbor Kid - I'm improving my bridges and they should get finished this month. Thanks.
Neighbor Kid 13 maj, 2020 @ 15:00
please bring your bridge to tpf 2!

@Mobius_22 - When the track has ground under it, moving to the mouse point to either side of the track flips the direction of the support. (This can do the retaining walls for the ends of embankments etc.) If you want put a support in the middle of a bridge, then moving the mouse either side has no affect. The only way to flip the support then is move the camera view so it is looking from the other side of the track, then move the mouse pointer away, then bring it back.

I'm having an issue with the supports on the bridges. I can't flip them around by moving them from one rail to the next (as with signals). Is there another way to do it, or am I just doing something wrong? For the record it works fine on standard tracks, but of course there's no point in using the supports there.

My only problem with this bridge is that it doesn't match up with EGI which is far more limiting in terms of bridge speed limits :\

That probably won't stop me from using it tho :P

btw: love your mods, really top notch stuff.
SpecialistZer0 14 aug, 2018 @ 13:58
@JK Been using this mod for a while now and it has fast become my goto bridge build, thank you for all your hard work.
andykesslerilm 29 maj, 2018 @ 7:58
Too bad that the abutment (bridgehead) does not automatically slip on the road.:steamsad:
The track works great.:steamhappy:
JK  [skapare] 20 mar, 2018 @ 10:34
@rend0 - Do you mean for the game to use these bridges for roads over water when it first generates the map? If so, I don't it could be done easily. If you mean; could you or others use this mod with your map for user built stuff, then yes, this bridge mod can be added to a saved game at anytime through the plus button mod list in the Load page from main menu.
rend0 19 mar, 2018 @ 19:49
@JK - Been working on a steam era custom map of Temple Meads and the surrounding area and these would look great! But I'm guessing the mod needs to be installed when generating map for the first time? Doesn't appear to be in the list of installed mods for saved games...

@dragontrain LP - "The bridge triggers software problems for me." - I don't speak German, but if can report the error message I might be able to help.

Thank you JK and all the other modders for releasing UK stuff. Hard work is much appreciated!
Hieronymus 12 mar, 2018 @ 12:29
cool
JK  [skapare] 12 mar, 2018 @ 11:50
@buttheadlovepantera - Thanks. killakanz and velvetmafia regularly produce BR engines and both have done engines built by the Big Four in the past. I don't know whether they'll do more in the future or just BR. I might be quite a while getting through my GWR list, so couldn't assume no other modders would have started by then.
buttheadlovepantera 12 mar, 2018 @ 11:24
Hey jk. Really like your work. Glad to hear youre planning on more locos. Is there any specific modders i should be looking for with regards to the big 4 railway companies? Thank you for what youve already done.
JK  [skapare] 12 mar, 2018 @ 10:49
@EGFR Productions - It looks an interesting engine, but not one for me unfortunately.

JK  [skapare] 11 mar, 2018 @ 8:37
@azure_wolf_22 - I intend to create more GWR trains currently and have quite a few more to do. I'd consider other railways, but other modders could have started on them by then. Most needed in my view are some LNER carriages, since the game has two iconic LNER engines. It also depends where the developers take the game next.
azure_wolf_22 11 mar, 2018 @ 7:38
Once again, very spot on work. Curious, is the GWR rthe only British Railway youll be working on, or are there plans for the others, like Bluebell and LNER?
JK  [skapare] 11 mar, 2018 @ 6:14
@marcus.mackan.eklund - That's correct. Unfornately the game's bridge tool wouldn't create this type of bridge properly if supports were included. So, as in the text and images above, the brick supports at each end, should be added by the player seperately, after the making bridge with the standard bridge method. Here's a real life example : http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1792348
9CF8 11 mar, 2018 @ 4:44
These bridges has no supports
GDRacer22 10 mar, 2018 @ 18:07
May be more in the UK scene but i see it working in America XD
gavt1976 10 mar, 2018 @ 17:04
Amazing mod JK, i really like this one. :)
HexAyed 10 mar, 2018 @ 15:28
These first appeared in my home city of Manchester in 1829 :D
JK  [skapare] 10 mar, 2018 @ 12:01
@Wief Chiggum - Unfortunately I'm mostly only interested in UK stuff and these ones aren't similar enough to UK bridges to be worth my while. If you haven't seen it already, there is also this bridge mod by JoeFried that give a lot more options than the game's standard ones : http://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1177726084
sheep21 10 mar, 2018 @ 11:57
lovely. this will make much more sense for my construction post 1890 in cities and the like
Thad 10 mar, 2018 @ 11:49
Incredible! Would you consider making American-styled railway bridges too? Here's a common one used on almost all American/Canadian railways post-1900:

And, for the period between 1850-1900, maybe some proper timber trestle bridges?
Due to the abundance of wood in the US/Canada and it being relatively cheap to cut down and turn into lumber, almost all train bridges were originally wooden before being replaced by steel in the 1900s:
