Thank you for the awesome addon! This makes it a lot easier for me to separate the icons by type.

If anyone is only seeing the colors only change in the compass and not the map, make sure to download the game "SKSE" on steam.

I've had this mod for some time, and I must say, thank you for making this mod. It's been probably the damn best mod i've ever had since it categorizes everything so neatly, and being able to find exactly what i'm looking for by shape and color is a god-send compared to all the default white markers. I honestly don't think I can express my thanks enough. That's how much I love this mod. :)

What do each of the colors mean?

I haven't tryrd this mod yet like I still want to do but dude whether or not I understood what you were saying about this mod or meaning I meant in your description from the looks of this thing... it the Skyrim map location markers look nicer and prettyer witth the indivi cool colers I think.

I kind-of witch the regurlar version of Skyrim had this mod as you call or past tenst called it but yea cool man I might be convinced to even keep this mod as well as Skyui.

I keep getting a message sying that this mod was made for SkyUI 5.2. This happens every time I fire up the game. Is there any way to stop this?

ok, so how do i get up that search window ? i know stands on the picture , '' space '' but.. no. it doesn't bring up anything pluss, skyUI gives me a lot off journal ??? world map '' ??? '' instead of showing the letter i get this ??? .... i think my SkyUI is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up somehow... i don't know.

It only shows on the compass! How do I make it show on the map too? And can I custom-color them or do they have to be those colors?

hey eze i found out why and i have steam skyui 3.0 version..i still like this mod

Coloured markers in the compas only, not on the map...

It's iteresting, the compass markers are colored but the map is not, I'm also getting this error message about map.swif file. I've been playing with this mod for a long time, it's so weird seeing the map markers the plane white color.

Would be awesome to have this mod updated, I don't even have a map.swf file to delete to see if that fixes my missing map icons. I have all the major cities and nothing else on my map. I'm using SkyUI 4.1....

The incompatibilty with the new SkyUI message is kind of annoying when I first bring up the map, but the colored markers are well worth it.

any chance of upgrading to fit with current sky.ui?

have skyui 4.1 so get the error of map not being up to date ^^; hasnt bothered my playing so not overly worried about it

I have coloured markers on my compass but not on my map...

I just insalled this mod and it works fine for me but at first i had both versions of eze map markers installed and the map markers didn't show up , once i took the old map markers off no problem at all, after getting used to the colored map markers its pretty hard to go back to the vanilla ones its a great mod .excellent work thank you

ok i did what nodiijo said but i don't have that file in the folder so i went to get then updated file on nexus and for some reason NMM is down and the manual wil not work but hang in the powers that be are working on it

If you get error 6 just go to your Skyrim Data folder usually (Steam/Steam Apps/common/Skyrim/Data) find the folder titled "Interface" and open it then remove the "map.swif" file, that's it. If you look up what the error codes mean it says for error 6 to do this - I haven't had anymore problems. Hope this helps.

I'm with Zeropan. It does not color the map, only the compass. Your description is also out of date, since there is no map files under file checking. There is map menu under a different menu item but no 'map files'. I'm then assuming this file itself is out of date.

SkyUI gives me an error that I need map.swv or some similarly named file. It still works alright but is there something I have to do to fix this? :)

Found out what you meant and for others who are as new as me: MCM is accessed AFTER entering the game. Pres Escape(default to open menu for saving and quitting) and choose Mod Configuration, then SkyUI, then Advanced and scroll down on the right side last one in right corner uncheck there :)
