i played zelda 2 on a emulator on my laptop and i talked to him and afteri read his text my emulator crashed and i was like..... what the hell and i found out my game crashed cause i had a code that rapidly spun links sprite around and it couldnt handle the code

Wrong-- it wasn't an error message. The names were simply meant to be puns, but Bagu's mistranslated name botched it.

Error was actually a legitimate character and not an actual error. It was actually that the name of his color-swapped counterpart, Bagu (Bug), got mistranslated, making the intended meaning of his name fail to make sense.
