For anyone curious, to use these in vest slots added by mods that add vest slots, change the item type from ‘plating’ to ‘defense’ (not ‘vest’ like I tried at first).
I want to add mobility, fortress, mind-shield, aim, and shields to this. Anyone know how to do that?
Basically, I want to make it the equivalent of "cheat vest" for normal xcom2
Leave text in square brackets, like the below, as is.
[LW2WOTC_CeramicPlating X2EquipmentTemplate]
Change text like this:
FriendlyName="Ceramic Plating"
to
FriendlyName="Kevlar Plating"
That's fine. You're probably doing it wrong.
If you want to change the names displayed in-game then change the localisation files (usually XComGame.int for English)
You need to find your workshop folder in steam, find whatever drive you have it on then follow the path Steam > steamapps > workshop > content > 268500 (I think that's the game's ID?) > 1318532978 > Config > XComWOTC_LW2_Plating.ini to adjust settings, personal preference I adjusted is I bumped up the plating of each tier to give some sense of progression, like 3 - 6 - 9 - 12 for example, Enjoy.
XCOM 2's Workshop folder is 268500 and then this mod's folder is the same ID number as is in this page's URL (id=xxxx)
That's not a bug.
Any luck with getting it to work with the vest slot mod?
I tried setting 'ITEM_CATEGORY=vest' in the ini file but that didn't seem to do anything
Does somebody know how to make it work with Vest slot mod?

It won´t recognize tis platings as vests.
