Indeed, but again, that is not what SimRE is about. :)

It's about slowing down the trains almost by half and adjusting all the techs accordingly, so that you can enjoy the game longer, allowing you to more thoughtful decisions.

There has been no announcement about slowing the game down.

The Beta is (mainly) for the North American map and that runs at the normal speed.

The main objective of the SimRE scenarios is to slow the game down. The new changes do not make this possible.
