Just wanted to say this script is awesome (the fix to work in the current version is real quick, btw - I did it myself for my machines). It really appeals to the kid in me to be able to push a button on my lifepod and have my big ship open the doors for it ^_^

After some investigation I think the script is not adjusted to the current version of the game (1.194.211). It seems inter grid communication is now made much easier

When I compile the script I get a lot of error messages like:
IMyRadioAntenna does not contain a definition of 'IgnoreAlliedBroadcast' and no accessable extension method 'IgnoreAlliedBroadcast' accepting a first argument of type 'IMyRadioAntenna' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)

Is the script working with the current version of the game?

I am currently using both this script and Rdav's Fleet Command script. I tried to separate the programming blocks and their respective antennas, but that doesn't seem to stop cross-contamination of the displayed info. I am constantly getting a stream of info that is certainly the instructions being sent by the command ship to the frigate I've installed this on. Is there any way I keep Rdav's script from interfering with yours?

Much thanks! I've been looking forward to using a script like this for a while, so I'm hoping we can get these scripts to play nice.

Hi there !
Was trying that script on a DS of mine and the communication didn't seem to work even though the commands and everything are working fine.

EDIT : after a few tests on a SP game, it appeared that changing the grid name made the script unable to recognize the said grid if we try to contact it
For it to work again I had tosave and restart the game, it might be the problem too on DS, will try.

Also, if I may report or suggest a change...
The script is constantly, as soon as possible gonna use antennas from "connector" connected grids, changing the PB attributed for that other grid's antenna, fucking everything up.
Could we avoid the script automatically checking for connected grids ? it will come handy

And also, since we can now have an history of the communications, could we have the date showing next to the time in the echo text ?

HI MrHam, not so much a bug report, as the script works as advertised (Thanks !)
Just a question, SE does issue warnings when checking the script (IMyRadioAntenna.TransmitMessagestring,MyTransmitTarget) is obsolete, use IMyIntergridCommunicationSystem instead)
Is this something you plan on addressing ?

I figured it out. i accidenly had 3 antennas linked to the pro block on 1 grid haha. ocasionally though the whole thing just stops working so i have to recomp

when i send msgs to allShips it sends it back to me *the ship that sent it* is that normal for it to msg myself? and also it is doing it times 3. if i sent a msg for example allShips Hello

i get

On the other ship it shows
Recived msg from *Ship1* Hello "only once" -which if good but i dont understand why the sending ship is sending to itself and x3

So does this script store message? Like would we be able to send a message to an off line player and that player be able to read it when they log on? Second question can you send multiple messages to a player like an email. I would like to find a way to get like a message box for players on my server.

Also If the target Grid is named "Grid One" then would i type "GridOne"? not something like "Grid%20One" or something? That's very awesome!

BTW, is there a /trigger or /Start function for timers yet?

first you type the target grids name withoutspaces
then comes the /open or /close part
and then type the hangar door group name in the same form as it is in the terminal (of course without * )

Awesome script. Is there a way to get this to trigger a timer, or other block, on recieving grids (owned)? Self destruct is fun, to be able to trigger a minefield with the press of the button woould be a klangton of fun. ^_^

so if you've played elite dangerous, when something goes wrong you can do a system reboot which essentially takes a while and forcibly resets and restarts all the systems on the ship

i thought for a cool idea of balancing that with the disabling there could be an emergency reboot script that essentially hard resets the ship and take x amount of time to restart instead of the virus being permanent?

@Xedriis'Kza Well, I think that would be too OP, but I'm will soon post an update which will contain a disable command. This code (or virus) will disable the targeted ship's primary systems (reactors, batteries, thrusters, gyros, ect...). And in the meantime, i will think about a solution to the remote hacking.
