Sizeable update for this. Check the description for details.

The games up through Fusion don't allow for custom hands for individual player models. That was introduced in SS4.

Are the first-person hands supposed to be Sam's, or is that a bug / update issue?

Thing is I own all Serious Sam games. And I even tried loading first SE map using vanila models but still getting crash.

Yeah, there's a problem with the game where if you only have TSE, selecting a custom player model in the menu will attempt to load up the SS3 version of it, which of course is problematic if you don't have SS3. Hopefully they fix this at some point.

Scratch that it apears that SE levels do not work. This could be a game problem.

Could you post the error that appears in the Sam2017_Unrestricted.log after the crash occurs?
