I think that in order to have a system that allows me to recruit the Great Musician I was planning earlier, I need to add a new 'Concert Hall' that is unlocked from Humanism Civic like Art Museum and Archaeological Museum like your mod, and instead change the Broadcast Center that was responsible for the existing Great Musician to a comprehensive building in Theater Square for the Great Writer, Aritst, and Musician. Can I use your idea if I indicate the copyright for you? The detailed effect of 'Concert Hall' will be different, but I think my idea for the 'Concert Hall' idea itself came from your cool mod so I should ask you permission. I'm asking this because I'm not sure what the usual copyright is for mod production.

@winter I did this a looong time ago, I don't remember the details now. However, I've added the WWise project to the github repo. The zip have .wav and .wem files removed, but it should load. perhaps it will help you to understand how to use WWIse. There is also an old post from devs that gives an overview of the process. It allowed me to actually build the mod. Good luck.

Hi, I'm creating a mod to add new Great Musicians. I want to get Great Musicians to output music accordingly when they create GreatWorks, but I just don't know what to do. I'm using Wise Ver.2015.1.9 to make it, but I don't know how to connect Events with Game Syncs. Even if I create a new Triggers, I won't get any tabs on it. Is it correct to use Triggers in Game Syncs, or is it correct to use Switches or Game Parameters? I'd appreciate some advice.

Learn even the basics of Beatles history, and you'll realize that after 1965, John and Paul wrote songs separately. 'Hey Jude' was written, almost completely solely by Paul. And "Let It Be" even more so.

This is a great mod, and much needed. I only wish Great Musicians were easier to get an earlier on. And if I had to make the tiniest quibble, I wouldn't have Nirvana in the group. Good band who made a noteworthy impact, but I can think of a hundred more important bands (and so can you) including Metallica, Hendrix, Rush, Muse, N.W.A, Soundgarden or Pearl Jam, John MacLaughlin or Miles Davis, Chilli Peppers or Prince, and so on.

Anyway, kudos and thanks. You're a good man, Charlie Brown.

@micha Concert Hall is mutyually exclusive with Museums. If you can build both then there is a mod conflict. Please report to District Exp because it messes up with some base game features.

@infixo using this mod together with the District Expansion: Theatre mod from the urban complexity series it seems the music hall from your mod seems to be possible to be build alongside the museums from the vanilla game - should I report this to the author of this mod or could you fix it?

@infixo Nice fix! The sound could indeed be reduced a bit. And the game original compositions must have some kind of "stop trigger" but not yours: the music stops once you close the great work pop-up, but this doesn't happen with the added songs. When using the gallery, the songs overlap if I change it before it ends.

Is there any chance to adjust the volumes of the soundbits in relation to the other sounds in the game? This is why I have currently de-activated this mod

Here's a funny mod idea: Real Rock Band Names! All it has to do is replace the words in the Randomizer's first & last names list with parts of real rock bands' names. The resulting suggestions when naming your Rock Band would be like: The Werk, Kraft Queen, Led Scorpions, Pink Sabbath, and many other hilarious combinations! This would be good for a few laughs when the AIs start dumping their faith into RBs instead of apostles and sending them on tours everywhere.

I agree that the bands in this mod were Great Musicians but it seems kind of pointless once you can buy Rock Bands with faith in the late game. You don't have to use the random name generator; you can delete the first suggestion & type in any name you want, real or fictional. So as great as Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode and Nirvana were, valuable Great Person positions could be better filled by legendary musicians who were not in a band. My best example is Hans Zimmer, who is at least equal to John Williams, for composing scores used in Pirates of the Caribbean, Inception, Interstellar, and pretty much every Nolan film. A popular joke about them is "Hans Zimmer makes music and then Christopher Nolan makes a movie to fit the music (not the other way around)."
