I did so because I really wanted to use this mod and many members of the community have been wanting to use this mod. Sadly, it hasn't been updated for nearly 6 years.However, if the mod author would like me to take it down I will absolutely do it. I did my best to give as much credit to the original author as possible as I am not seeking to steal the work they put into it merely allow myself and those that wish to use the mod to be able to use it again.

I dont think this mod is usable with the current game state. I cannot play without this mod and would love to see it updated.

There's a setting in the GlobalParameters.xml called START_DISTANCE_MAJOR_CIVILIZATION which is default set to 12. Change it.

An update for the mod is pointless until Firaxis un-fuck the fact that their game ignores mods like this. :steamsad:

According to Dennis Shirk, the clumping of city states has been fixed - the *assumption* is that it'll be part of the next patch that we'll potentially see this coming week. That said, no-one from Firaxis has explicitly said that's when we'll see it.

It remains to be seen whether or not they'll make the other settings in this mod work.

This mod seems to revert the Statue of Liberty to it's pre-GS state. Not sure if this is a thing with just this mod, or all incompatible mods.

I seriously doubt they managed to "Spread out all Civilization and City-State starting positions where possible when generating the map." I can generate a large map with 2-3 civs taken out and still have ppl 8-9 tiles away.

Not sure if it's possible, but it would be great if you could have an option that puts computer opposition (not overly bothered about city states) on a different island when playing on island maps?

This NEVER works for me. And, no I don't set it high. If I leave it at 9, theres someone 5 spaces away. And yes, I've tried all different sizes and any other silly suggestion. It just Doesn't work.

Love the mod. Do you think it would be possible to make one kinda like this only it adjusts how close to another city you can creat a new one. Specifically extending the limit from 3 tiles to 5. I get very annoyed when there is tons of open space great for ssettling and then the AI decides for some reason to park their new city as close to mine as possible.

It's been a while since I deleted CIV VI and moved on to other games for now, but I am certain my #of civs was far less than the size of the maps suggested. Typically I like large maps and 3-5 civs total. No more than 4 city states as well.

@Winter Wolf as UncleElias said, please verify that you are using a large enough map for the number of civs you are adding. I haven’t been playing in some time and there has been at least one update meanwhile, but the way this is implemented, I do not believe Firaxis would go out of their way to undermine mods to this behavior. If the problems persist, I will look into it in the next few weeks :)
