I used Audacity and another program whose name I can't remember when I made this. If you're not able to figure it out, comment again and I'll see what I can do when I have more time.

I'm a noob to workshop, so I can't really access the Left 4 Dead Author tools mainly because I don't know how to work it. Yeah, all of the numbers match the file names of the originals, and everything was in the right folders. It might be that the bitrate is wrong, but I'm not familar on how to change the bitrates of the Abe Lincoln audio to that specific bitrate. That's probably what the problem is.

Well, the soundfiles are a specific bitrate(705kbps), if that's not right it won't work. It also helps to have them be as close as possible to the same length, otherwise stuff like silence, sped up sound files, and other weird stuff can happen. Do you just have the files in the folder, or did you make a steam workshop thing for it and use that? All the numbers at the ends of file names right? Everything in the right folders? Not sure what else the problem could be.

No, what I mean is that I have the raw sound files from the YouTube video itself, and have all of the different parts for her all set up and everything. "Abe_Lincoln1.wav" is renamed "female_shriek_1.wav" but even though the format is correct she still does not make the desired sound, let alone any sound at all when she attacks.

Does it have to be EXACTLY the same time as the witch's original sound file? What exactly am I doing wrong?

Basically, you would have to change the names of the soundfiles to the names of her soundfiles. If you just replaced her sound folder with the smoker's sound folder, the game wouldn't be able to find sounds for her because it's looking for witch sound files, not smoker sound files.

For instance, one of the smoker's soundfiles is named 'smoker_alert_1'. Witch's sound files are all named different things, like 'female_distantscream1'.

Is there a way to make this for the witch? I've tried switching out the sounds for her but she didn't make any noise at all once I did. It'd be great and very appropriate if it was made for her.
