I tried out this mod and wanted to ask if you would mind if I used the armor in an Advent to Galactic Empire conversion mod? I see Mandalorians being included as Imperial-hired mercenaries/bounty hunters. They would be relatively high-tier enemies. Nightfall29 I don't understands your complaints. I have used Star Wars mods in Xcom 2 sence Platoon's (RIP) helmet mods, I used Stormtrooper helets togheter whit the assetes I could find fo make my charakters as close to Stormtroopers I could, why? Becuse I love Star Wars and needed more Star Wars in gaming, whit Disney ruining the franshise and EA being the only ones who can make games we don't really have much new too look forward too. I love Xcom 2 and I love Star Wars for me puting those togheter gave me a little Star Wars magic, something I kinda need as Disney is not giving me that.

That's atleast why I want Stromtroopers or Clones in my Xcom 2. And when Boba is ready for WOTC I will install Xcom 2 on the new computer and play agian as I needed a paus from the game :)

CDT, I can see your point. I've been thinking since XCOM 1 that the engine could have a lot of application towards other RPG genres. I'd love to see them make a Star Wars game using the XCOM engine. You won't get there by modding though, it will just come off as... wrong.

@Nightfall29 First off a modder can make whatever they want nonsensical or not, everyone has creative freedom, second off you have freedom to choose whether you want to subscribe to something or not.

@Nightfall29 mods are optional, they are for the players to choose from and if they do or dont want this in their game, they are free to not subscribe. Immersion is only necessery if the player deams it. Also I dont know a Star Wars turn-based squad game that exists,

I mean I could understand why you would not like Star Wars in Xcom, personally for me I usually like to play XCOM without all the non-immersive mods as well, but that doesn’t stop me from being a fan of other franchise.

But to answer your question, it’s simple, because other people (alot for that matter) wants a Star Wars conversion, you could look at the mod page request page and you will see a lot of request similar to this. I mean sure, the “My little pony” mods are a bit too far for my taste, but if someone enjoys them with XCOM? Who am I to say no? And why I don’t mod vanilla stuff to XCOM with original assets? I simply lack the talent.

I’m not saying you’re a bad person for disliking Star Wars in XCOM. I’m saying you should just keep an open mind to those who enjoy it.

Well, I do have to admit, this is maybe the least ridiculous one. Others, such as storm troopers, etc. are really the worst of the worst. You could at least rationalize that this one with it's cobbled together armor might belong.

I'm not saying that you are untalented or anything. I just don't "get" why you would want to bring Star Wars into a game that is NOT Star Wars.

Oh and I wasn't joking about the other part... some guy actually modded in some My Little Pony stuff (which admittedly is a whole level more ridiculous than Star Wars, but still...)

I really don't understand why anyone would waste their time modding Star Wars stuff into XCOM. It clearly, not to mention ridiculously, doesn't belong. Both are great concepts, but they don't mix. To paraphrase President Trump, "Sad."

I mean if you want Star Wars so badly, play a Star Wars game.

Just think, with your skill, you could've spent your time modding in some assets that actually fit XCOM and would enhance the experience.

If you are going to start modding in Star Wars... why stop there, why not ad clowns, My Little Pony, etc. That makes about as much sense.
