Aha, that. I use Greenshot for printscreens. JPG format images. No problems so far with size.

ATM only way to upload tech to Steam is from game Save Tech menu. If that did not work, make bug report. To tell you the truth, devellopers are very good in solving peoblem with game, and they will come to you with solution if solution exist. I have almost 1500 hours and they helped me more than few times.
