Dunno. All I can tell you is there's no point in melee fighting in GMod anyway. Not unless you're out of bullets and the enemy is a miserable shot.

I've tested many melee weapons on the workshop with my friend, and we came to the conclusion that it's basically jousting.

No one has complained before. No different then whacking one-another with crowbars. It works.

Horses have quite a strong neck. Not strong enough to swing heavy swords I don't think, but they do beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of each other with their heads in the wild. Giving a horse head-blades would be helping it on that front, maybe just behind the ear and facing back?

Haha, at least you like it. I may update it, maybe make a pack if the opertunity presents itself. I never worked with TFA before, as it chokes up my game for some reason. As for damage, it's as easy as changing a variable. But given that GMod (being derived from HL2) has 100 Base Health with 200 max, the sword would be instakill a good portion of the time.

Don't get me wrong glad to see any Bloodborne weapons ported to GMOD at all, but you are right, it does need some improvements. Perhaps the easiest ways I could think of to improve it would be to try upping the damage a bit (in-game this was an average 250-650 damage weapon as you might recall), and maybe try porting it to a new base, like TFA. Just a few quick ideas I had. For what it is currently though, still one of my favorites on the workshop!

... To be honest, I'm not sure if that would improve the over all quality. It would still be the same novice-work, just in the hands of a human instead of the mouth of a pony. But I was thinking of humanizing the melee SWeps when I get my ♥♥♥♥ together.

I honestly forgot Sam existed to be honest. Come to think of it, it would be nice to make it so one weapon can be used by both model-types, but I lack the skill. Oh well. I can't do much of anything without a new computer, can't really fix or finish these addons, which is sad.

@ sam SMOTHERED in pony stuff? if i remember correctly it has been about a month since the las pony upload on gmod workshop so if anuthing all other content has just been pointless server content and reskinsas well as a thousand and one re-uploads of the same thing but slightly diferent so if anything we kind of deserve a bit of the spotlight if something so simple as weapon reskins gets the most addons(seriously server content and weapon reskins make up good 70% of all gmod addons nowadays)

Not a fan of the RD SMLE, either. That and the Kar-98k were pretty sad, I'm fine if you do it with modern guns, but old weapons like that. Nah.

A part of me did die a little when I realized people took Mauser C96's and ruin them just to run around as Han Solo. Not saying that's the only gun ruined by idiots with tacky glue, but the point still stands. I understand where you are coming from there.

That is a lovely idea, one I've been considering for a while. Sadly, I don't have the knowledge to pull it off, and the people who do often send me away with choice words. Plus, this is M9k based, which can only do so much on it's own.

As for the SMLE, to each their own. Though it's a fair point if it's a original run of gun. Replica's are dime a dozen, but historical guns aren't to be done up like that. Unless they are Mosins, which are pretty plentiful and easy to get. Truth be told, when I found about what Star Wars Cosplayers do to historical guns, I was quite disappointed.

Luckily, pixels don't have any value beyond you put in them, so free game there. (Somewhere a CS:GO junky is losing his ♥♥♥♥.)

I, myself don't mind pony ♥♥♥♥, but do you really have to take it this far? Can't you make stuff that works for both kinds of playermodel, using a bit of Lua code that detects the skeleton/model/whatever? Not everyone likes seeing their favourite thing smothered in ponies. I would hate to see my favorite thing smothered in pony stuff. For example that SMLE some guy painted blue and put a rainbow dash cutie mark on it. ♥♥♥♥ makes me sick, because it's a tool of war, not some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cosplay gear. Thing can KILL someone.

Thinking back on it, whatever happens short-term, the long term effects would be interesting. Win or lose, live or die, a war between a normally violent and scientific world versus a normally passive magical world would no doubt wreak hell on the enviroment and all within it.

Chances are, we get STALKER, and they may get STALKER too. That's assuming average-case scenario. Worst Case Scenario is that everything is messed up beyond recognition.

I'm down for STALKER, at least I'd have a reason to dress like one.

Though as long as we're talking hypothetical, we humans have done a lovely job destroying our planet just by existing, where as mlp ponies actually need to try. If it's a war of "who can ♥♥♥♥ up the other worse", we'd win. We may not live long enough to see our handy work, but the little blighters would be feeling the aftermath for centuries.

I find a sick sense of comfort in that.

The problem is if a pony went to war with us, we have guns, armored vehicles. Really lots of better technology.

@ captain grishnakh if ponies are inferior to us then how about you try explaining the unicorn's magic abilities? they have the powers of telekinesis, teleportation, matter manipulation, telepresence, illusion, mind control/reading oh and directed energy attacks(LAZER BEAMS!!). earth ponie have FAR superior strength and just as much inteligence as well as way stronger bones(the force required to kick a tree to shake apples loose like in the show would shatter terran horses leg bones into shrapnel). pegasi can fly at speeds that would reduce an SR-71 to a fiery spray of shrapnel and molten metal(rainbow dash's top speed is about mach 10 to mach 12 and SR-71 can only go mach 3 to mach 5 {HOLY F#CK SHES FAST! she'd also be a perfect replacement for spy planes go in take pics from half a mile up and tear @ss out of there and be gone before they can say wtf}) also pegasi can control the weather via cloud manipulation and can build cities out of cloud
