Haha, I know lol

Just wanted to give some useful info for people who struggle with empire spawning. Info they were most likely not aware of since they were using this mod to solve the issue.
Peanutcat  [ophavsmand] 5. mar. 2023 kl. 17:08
It's just a matter of preferences. I did not want duplicates cluttering my empire list so this mod was preferable. Some people prefered this, let them have it.

You don't need to go dunking on a mod 2 years dead and labeled as such just because you don't want to use it :p
Exodus 5. mar. 2023 kl. 16:59
You can just click edit and then immediately save them. This gives you the option to force spawn them by clicking the bird icon. The fact that a mod like this ever existed is astonishing. If you are having trouble with spawning certain empires, sometimes their origin can cause them not to spawn, or if they share a home system type. For example, you cannot have two (or more) Sol system empires or Deneb system empires. The game will only pick one empire with those preset systems to spawn if multiple are forced. And yes, this is how I have done it for years. Never even found this mod until today.

@Field Marshal Zhukov No problem.
SouthboundSoul 23. aug. 2021 kl. 5:39
@Willem thanks man, so simple yet I never thought of it!

They changed the files so that there is actually two sets of UNE and COM. One for if you have the humanoids DLC and one for if you don't. The new set is humans1_1 and humans2_1 in the 88_humanoids_prescripted_countries.txt file.
Willem 27. maj 2021 kl. 12:30
@redragons Just use the UNE, the Commonwealth will always spawn, making a Custom Empire Copy of the UNE just lets you spawn them in any game guaranteed if you're not playing as them.
redragons 27. maj 2021 kl. 10:41
@Willem
What if I want to play as the UNE, what should I do? will the COM still appear if I do it, if they are set as 'lost' world will there be another UNE that shows up.

I just want to play as the UNE, and have the COM be my lost colony as the plot intended without the other species that don't seem very realistic to me.
Willem 5. maj 2021 kl. 16:27
Want to force spawn the UNE and CoM? Here's a way for you to do it without this mod (OR any Mod at all for you Ironman Achievement lovers out there): First: Select the UNE default Empire, next use the edit empire function so you have a player generated UNE you can edit, do NOT edit anything and just save the Empire to your list (The original UNE will not be overwritten), then click the spawn button twice to force spawn them in every game you start, the Commonwealth is tied to the UNE, so if your UNE custom Empire spawns (Which should ALWAYS happen with this method) the CoM will spawn as well.
Peanutcat  [ophavsmand] 29. apr. 2021 kl. 16:45
Huh, you two are right. Seems that whatever PDX did in the 3.0.2 hotfix has broken the mod, as far as I know there's nothing I can do.

Mod officially declared dead.
If a future patch makes the method used usable again I'll revive it.
Blunnevre 29. apr. 2021 kl. 15:51
Yeah not working for me either. Played without any mods but this one and no one spawns.
Peanutcat  [ophavsmand] 29. apr. 2021 kl. 5:04
@玄鸟 The update or the mod in general? Try deleting the mod, unsubscribing/resubscribing so that steam updates it properly. Steam doesn't like downloading workshop updates sometimes. Also check your load order, you might have some mod that overrides this one if it's not working.
玄鸟 28. apr. 2021 kl. 23:45
sadly it's not working for me
Peanutcat  [ophavsmand] 22. apr. 2021 kl. 16:41
Seems like the latest hotfix did some out of the blue changes. Updated for 3.0.2
Starkiller 22. apr. 2021 kl. 16:11
It seems it is now causing both CoM and UNE to each show up twice on the species selection screen (after selecting new game). The duplicates go away when I turn this mod off. I tried the usual unsubscribe, relaunch, quit, and re-subscribe, but the problem still exists. I'm worried it could cause two instances of the same faction in game. Great mod though. I've been using it for years without issue until now. Thank you!

Updated for 3.0

@reeses4brkfst, You're right, this mod is usually fine to use after updates. There's only been one patch where I actually needed to do a change but with that said don't hesitate to ask for updates. I don't mind fixing the version number, I just need a reminder when a new patch drops.
reeses4brkfst 17. apr. 2021 kl. 19:07
I haven't tried it yet and will let you know when I do (could be a week), but can anyone else say if they've observed issues and this requires an update for 3.0? I imagine it doesn't, but just checking with the community. Thanks!
TantalusBane 3. apr. 2021 kl. 3:43
I thought this made it so only humans spawn? A mod for only human spawn would be great. :)

Awesome work
Maxz85 10. juni 2020 kl. 8:58
Thank you for the answer, will do that.
Peanutcat  [ophavsmand] 10. juni 2020 kl. 8:52
@Maxz85
Check that you haven't forgotten to enable the mod, have an incompatible mod active, done something that makes the humans not spawn (such as using the Deneb or Sol systems on your species), or done something to break Stellaris.

The only advice I can give is to load my mod last, other than that you'll have to troubleshoot on your own as the mod itself should work perfectly fine and I can only guess at what you've added that breaks it for you.
Maxz85 10. juni 2020 kl. 8:37
For some reason this mod doesn't work for me

AlphaAshIsAWeenie Just select UNE then EDIT them instead of making a Human Empire from scratch.
Or if not Ironman, type observe into the console and search Systems for Sol/Daneb. If they are there then just restart
Dr. Quackers M.D. 29. apr. 2020 kl. 15:14
Is there a mod that just removes the 2 human nations. I like to play as my own earth and its bull when the premade one still shows up
adevin 19. mar. 2020 kl. 12:40
Ok. I found the lines to change in prescripted_species_systems.txt and made the mod here: https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2027659639
Peanutcat  [ophavsmand] 19. mar. 2020 kl. 11:10
@adevin No idea if that's doable or not, it's not anything that I'd want to do myself but you could try to make it yourself. Hop on the pdx discord or modding forums and ask around.
adevin 19. mar. 2020 kl. 10:28
Not really related to this mod, but I noticed that in the new version, every time I pick a Sol start the CoM will also spawn. It used to be somewhat random. Now that's fine if you want them every time, but sometimes I want to be the only humans, for lore reasons or whatever. Do you think you could make a mod that disables the guaranteed CoM?

Peanutcat  [ophavsmand] 13. dec. 2018 kl. 9:39
In that case the mod won't affect the copied empires and will still spawn the vanilla one. However the game seems to notice when an empire uses Sol as their starting system and consequently does not spawn the actual UNE in those cases. I assume the same is true for Deneb.

But if you're cloning them as a custom empire you can just force spawn the custom one and shouldn't need the mod.
Airgedok 12. dec. 2018 kl. 19:21
In the game. You can edit any starting race, but clicking on it and picking the edit option. saving it creates a copy of the empire.
Peanutcat  [ophavsmand] 12. dec. 2018 kl. 14:12
How exactly are you editing them? In game or the files?
Airgedok 12. dec. 2018 kl. 11:33
If you edit the two human races how does it handle that? Will it spawn the original version of the empires, both versions or only the edited versions. i mod the game to give extra civics so i mod the standard races to include these civics, so i am curious if this works with edits.
Peanutcat  [ophavsmand] 7. dec. 2018 kl. 9:37
Updated for 2.2
fisherb1986 8. sep. 2018 kl. 16:14
its kinda uneeded. all you have to do is just edit the two and then save it. It saves a copy of the two and you can just spawn them if wanted.
