Because it works just fine? I haven't played Skyrim in years, but I never had a problem with it. If you have mods that make modifications to Breezehome they may very well break the mod though.

If it had worked for me I would have endorsed it. It was one of those little things that gets very annoying real quick. Like I said I never could understand how Bethesda didn;t give her the ability to roam through the house and then sit and stare at the character in their own bedroom. Kinda crazy. There are things I want to do, but my current computer can't handle the creation kit so I have to wait until I can get a new machine. In the man time I have some castle designs I am modifying for Skyrim and I will probably post the floor plans in one of the foruems to see if anyone wants to help work them up.

I honestly don't mind if they did, although I admit a degree of curiousity, lol. This mod was a super quick and easy fix that I did as a favour (and to see if I could). I never expected 800 subs.

The one from Nexus isn't mine, but I am happy you found one that works for you.

I removed this one, then loaded the one from Nexus, which I am assuming is yours as well, and that one worked fine. I wish there was a mod that would let her move around the house as well, maybe sit downstairs instead of being sent to her room like a bad little girl :-)

Is the mod activated? Have you tried moving it down lower in your mod load order? Do you have any other Breezehome or Lydia mods?

It doesn't work. After I have subscribed, installed, left my house and came back in she is still in my bedroom and while I watched she sat right down in a chair in my room.

It always drove me nuts that with the whole house to wander around in she hung out in my bedroom. There are chairs downstairs for god's sake. Fine if she want to hang out in her bedroom, but why didn't anyone set things up so she moves around the whole house and sits on the ground floor level? Thanks for at least getting her out of my bedroom.

I don't mind if Lydia like to watch Dovahkiin and Mjoll the Lioness fighting in a bed :D She can join anytime.

I've never tested marrying Lydia with this mod, but it shouldn't cause any troubles. However if it does, the mod has no scripts so removing it won't cause any problems.

Make sure your savegame is made outside of Breezehome before removing the mod to be on the safe side.

How does this mod affect Lydia if you marry her? Are you able to remove the mod without any problems?

This version needs Hearthfire DLC, I also have a version that doesn't need Hearthfire in my workshop. The link to my workshop is to the right :)

@biotta, you are welcome to add whatever content you want from this mod, although in all honesty it will be just as easy for you to make the same changes yourself if you are modifying Breezehome already. The easiest way to fix Lydia's bed is simply to change the bed from one that is entered from the other side of the wall (inaccessible in other words) to one that can be entered from the room side of the bed using Control F to change the form used.

I like your little mod very much, now Lydia stays where she belongs. I'd like to ask your permission to add your little fix into my Breezehome modification i am constructing. I don't know yet if i will release it, thought, if so, it will be up on Nexus and of course with proper credits to you. The mod takes attempt to preserve Breezehome as a starters house, giving the option to have both alchemy lab and child's room, fixing Lydia's room for players actually appreciating having Lydia as Follower/Housecarl, adding some decorations/containers and upgrading the common furniture in a more appropiate for a Thane.

She only sleeps all day if you add my mod Lydia Sleeps. This one only allows her to access her Breezehome bed. And gives her a chair.

does lydia sleep all day if you marry her? if you have that mod while living in the breezehome.

That can't be good her health. Alas she is quiet now.

After I made a mod that forces her to sleep all day, I decided she's not so bad after all. She's so peaceful when she's asleep. And quiet :)

Just a confirmation of faolanthehedgehog's problem; this mod causes a CTD after the Bethesda loading screen. I don't own hearthfire

I do not have Hearthfire or any other mods that affect Breezehome or Lydia. The mod just doesn't let the game work period.

@faolanthehedgehog, I am sorry to hear that! I run this in my own game with no issues. As far as I know this should not need Hearthfire, but be Hearthfire supported. Do you have Hearthfire or any mods that affect Breezehome? Hearthfire has been known to cause conflicts with player modified houses.

This mod is horrible. I tried running the game with the mod turned on, and after the Bethesda Game Studios video before the Main Menu, the game closes to desktop. Unsubscribing.

I didn't want to fiddle with her AI packages in this mod as it would increase the risk of conflicts for all those people with Lydia mods.

Tested & she is getting correctly into bed now. I managed to get her to sleep from 10PM to 8AM by adding the DefaultSleepEditorLoc22x10 AI package to her existing AI using the NPC editor. Maybe I'm just lucky but it works for me. Thank you for making the change :)

@Neeble: I have spent about 3 hours trying to get her to behave properly. IDK what her problem is! If she's still being a nuisance I have just uploaded another mod that complements this one. It makes her sleep all day. She just annoys me so much.

Thank you so much. I've always been uncomfortable with Lydia's hanging out in my room, especially when everyone else is in bed, especially imagining her sitting there watching my waifu and I getting frisky. The only complaint I have is that it'd make more sense if she hung out down stairs instead.

@Redteam: I've tidied up the Nav Mesh near her bed, she should find it easier to get in there now. I am thinking she needs her AI package fixed, she is not only sarcastic and a voyeur, but also an insomniac. Anyone like the idea of a Lydia sleeps all day mod?
