***spoiler***
I shared this game with my, new to vr, friends.
She was afraid of the body in the kitchen cabinet. She opened the door quickly and grabbed the key from the corpses hand then shut the door to avoid it.
After obtaining the key and pondering where it may go, she went to lean on the Virtual counter top above the body's cabinet, which was nothing in reality.
She fell through the cabinet on top of the body that she was wanting to avoid giving her quite a scare. It was one of the most hilarious moments in vr I've had.
Please port this to Quest!
Otherwise... it 'seemed' like a good project.
when you interact with the door or safe, you cannot interact with other's stuff anymore!
I would like to actually make a living making games. If my next game is much, much better, and two to three hours long (and without bugs!), what would you consider a reasonable price? I'm really curious...
2nd comment: that's weird
3rd comment: oh okay!
My opinion on the distortions honestly I think it kinda ruins the feel. But it is your choice :p I mean it did get me a good scare, but I think it'd be cooler without that probably. Anyways, I hope that game your making turns out great! My friends LOVED your game and we really wanna be able to play together like we did here. Honestly I couldn't sleep thinking about how much this scared me (which means it's perfect and not anything like those pathetic horrors that just rely on jumpscares to give ya a scare. This game actually has really creepy moments. One question is, how the hell did you manage to pull of this much of good scripting in steamvr HOME?
A few weeks later, he contacted me again, saying "enough's enough" and "you've had your fun". When I told him I didn't understand, he said I had done something to his computer through the game, that the sounds were "spreading" to other programs. I was really losing patience with this guy, but I tried to direct him to some virus- and malware protection. After that, I only got three more messages from him.
The second was pleading and aggitated, and not very coherent. 'Glitched sounds' were keeping him from sleeping, he would give me anything if I would just make 'them' stop. I told him that could be fixed by, you know, turning off the computer.
The last one simply read: "It is off i can still hear them i still see her i still hear her still see her can you see her"
So no offense, but people with weird audio obsessions freak me the fuck out...
A: a weird bug
B: something to do with your computer
C: an update from valve that messed things up
D: the tall woman infected your computer and will get you when you least expect it...
(He asked if it would be VR and multiplayer)
A static sound when spooky things happen? Yes, that is supposed to happen :)
It will be in VR and it's a lot like Get Out, but a lot better.
It probably won't be multiplayer because it would make no sense whatsoever in the story, like playing P.T. multiplayer. Then again, a lot of people liked to play this one multiplayer, so I will consider it and see if I can even do it (Get Out was multiplayer by accident, because Steam Environments are multiplayer)
Hope this answers your questions!

I think it looks slightly better than Get Out...
-Picking up/dropping items with the grip no longer works.
-Some weird lightning glitches/some items aren't properly lit.
-When going through the boarded up door, the flashlight only appears after teleporting.
It's very frustrating for you, the player, and for me. I spend half a year making this free game and I don't have the time anymore to keep up with the updates and bug fixes.
I'm very sorry about this, maybe I can fix it in the future.
On a possitive note, I'm working on a new game like this, but in the Unreal Engine. I'll put an update here when I have more information.
Thank you all for playing and for the feedback, it means a lot to me.
Cheers,
Juzam
Thank you Juza soo much! Please! Do MORE!!!! =) OR teach me how! )
but it is caused by the game engine and only Valve can fix that. Also, as stated in the description, playing multiplayer can cause bugs.
