why my herbivorous dinos need raw meat to heal up?, im playing in a private server tho

That's up to the Dev of that mod (Faye's Menaferies). I use Primal Fear and the Awesome Spyglass tells me that certain dinos eat meat(Demonics) though their vanilla forms eat veggies/berries.

Is this mod going to be updated? I think it would be great if we could change the food required for some modded Dinos. Plateosaurus from Faye's Menageries is consuming meat while its hervibore.

Will this mod lag out my game? I am playing with a lot of custom creatures and many have high HP. Will the mod affect all dinos with high HP and there fore lag out the game as they take dmg?

The plan is to bring most all of my mods that have any amount of traffic over to ASA, this is one of them so it's in the works. Just give me a little bit of time to get familiar with the new devkit and to rebuild these as some of my mods are years old, and I want to bring them up to newer standards, not simply copy/paste them from old to new and ignore issues, etc. Just bare with me for a little bit.

Herbivores also eat meat, not berries, which is wrong. I suspect that Mek will also be treated with meat, which is very strange

Today I found out that Eco has left the modding, because toxic people harass her day in and out with negativity about her mods and it has broken her. It makes me sad to hear and I hope she gets better soon.

I just wanted to say that me, my brother and nephew love and appreciate ALL the work you do for the modding community for Ark. I wish more people would tell all of you modders that what you are doing is great! And not complain and bitch about things you get for free.

Can you add raw mutton to the list for Carnivores?

Raw fish meat and raw prime fish meat does not heal for me

A little tip: Dinos need at least 1 food in their inventory for the healing to kick in. Sometimes you need to hop on them and do an attack, sometimes you can punch them.

Just found out about this today when I was breeding and wondered why they weren't healing when I have food on the trough

Hi! I'm playing with Kraken's Better Dinos and I would love to have options to add food types, since Raw High Protein Meat doesn't fit into your Carnivore food types.

Enjoying the mod! it helps a lot with primal fear dinos (might go buff the hp amount again and lower food). Would the cooked variants of meat be added as possible carnivore food? Sorry if someone else asked this before. Cooked meats stack more so I can put a lot more in troughs at once.

I'm not sure on what to use as a reference to change that behavior. For example, I could change it to look at all food types that the specific dino takes as food, however that would cause them to use Kibble as a "healing" item, along with anything else that they would normally take with. Also I would have to come up with a calculation to deteremine a new % for each food, based on the taming amount, etc etc. Basicly it's a bit more complicated then simply changing it. I mean yea, I could change it to look at the exact name or BP of the Golem, but that would cause any moded versions to fail. I want to make sure this mod works with both moded and non-moded.

Allreadyded :: looked at the RockGolem and oddly enough, they are listed as Carnivore as the food type within the devkit. I'm currently using "Dino Food Type Name" as the value to determine what type of food to use. Carnivore falls into the "meat" category. Not sure why the devs marked them as Carnivore but then set there food to eat in the array as something different. Either way, right now they would eat Meat with this mod to heal (but that's only for healing, not for food increase).

Working for me again, after releasing dinos from soulballs they seem to be in a combat state so you have to wait (not sure if this was always the case, just something i noticed) but other then that all the ini config settings and the consumption seem to be working just fine.

Alreadyded :: I'm all up for adding some new features, food detection, etc.. first want to confirm the new recook / redeploy of the mod works for you guys. I don't really play Ark much any more, as i don't have alot of time with everything else going on. so i'm relying on the users to let me know.

Looking forward to having this working! We are gonna need healing foods added for stuff like Rock Golems, Enforcers, and other things that dont eat normal foods.

So, about the mod. funny thing is, the mod is working 100% in the newest devkit, so I'm wondering if maybe I just need to re-cook the mod in newest devkit to fix the "not working" issues. Maybe something changed over time that requires the mod to be recooked and deployed, i'm not sure. so Lets start with that. I'll have the version recooked and redeployed in the next hr or so. let me know if anyone still have issues with it not showing the particles, and/or not healing dinos? if so, please take out all custom ini settings for the mod and try again to first confirm that without custom options it's working. let me know either way, thanks.

My condolences man. This was one of my favorite healing mods and I am excited that you are going to be working on it again.

The mod doesn't seem to work at all, so I don't know if there are any specific issues with the mod overall. And sorry for your circumstances! Hope you'll do better soon :) Is there a mod that does the same? I would like to keep this kind of mod on my server as long as this one is broken. Would appreciate recommendations!

so, I have been out of the Ark Modding for some time. Due to loosing my job, my house catching on fire, permanent injury (Nerve Damage) to my feet and hands due to the fire, and about 60k worth of damages to my house I had to repair, I'm just now getting back on my feed. So I first want to say, sorry for not keeping the mod up to deep. I have really been a bit out of it over the last 1-2 years.

that being said, can anyone compile a list of what "doesn't work" with the mod? i'll try to work on it over the next couple days, but don't have a lot of time to dig through all the replies to determine what "currently" doesn't work, works partly, etc etc.

Hi Temil, I was wondering if/when this amazing mod will update? I know life often gets in the way of these things or mods break for unknown reasons but ark doesn't feel the same without this essential mod. In my eyes at least, this mod is the pinnacle of all healing mods on the workshop and it's loss is keenly felt by me and many others.

In short, can you please confirm if the mod will update or will we lose this game changing and exemplary mod forever?

I will gladly pay or donate something nice to have this fantastic mod repaired :D

Really sad it doesn't work anymore. Most (if not all) other healing mods are percent based which I dislike. This mod probably won't receive any update so it is effectively dead.
